Only bloated with political appointments and many top posts are paid at market rate now. Our Dr M already settled this problem.

Dr M only sack 17,000 political appointees.-very small cut. What about 1.5million civil servants??? can the size reduced further??? can the pension fund convert to EPF??? many reforms still need to be done. problem not yet fully settled with.

Pension and related costs tend to hover around six to over seven per cent of the government’s operating expenditure in the past, but then grew to 8.3 per cent (2014), 8.7 per cent (2015) and has stayed at around 10 per cent in the past few years — 10 per cent (2016), 10.5 per cent (2017) and an estimated 10.9 per cent this year and 10.2 per cent next year.

Next yr, going down lah to 10.2 per cent from 10.9 per cent. Great.

We want a fair contribution from civil servants like private sector, EPF. Pension system is unsustainable.

During colonial and post colonial time, the government paid 17% of employees' monthly salaries to a fund which was calculated to be sufficient to pay their pension needs on retirement. If they continue to do so, currently to Kump. Wang Persaraan, shouldn't it work just as well as KWSP, if invested wisely? Perhaps Savemalaysia can come out with a report on this?

Now v r seeing ppl live up to 80-100 yo. With so many graduates reported to be unemployed, spend·thrift etc, how? Gomen gonna keep spoon feeding young and old p from cradle to grave? And tax the middle class work horse till we die?Only in communist country, income can be equal. Are we moving towards that direction? With Robin Hood tax policy, seems like its pretty good to be poor in this country.
