Mahathir never wanted to handover to Anwar! Most probably will give to Anwar few months before GE15! So yeah, pointless to deny this!
As for collapse of Pakatan government! Please, we all know the true story! It was Mahathir and Asmin! Don't blame others! Strange that Mahathir refuse to accept the blame and Asmin name completely keep under water by Mahathir! So you know that Asmin will remain deep state in Mohiden government! So don't expect things to go well!

Azmin will bury UMNO by puting all the UMNO OKTs to jail and get UMNO other MPs to cross over to Bersatu. By GE15 UMNO is gone and Bersatu is the New UMNO.

Dickme! Yeah, Pakatan made impossible promises! Removing GST was as stupid as one can be! Malaysia oil is goner! Government of the day need money, and the only short term long term damage is borrowing money!
Eventually any one who form government will realise, Malaysia doesn't have the money, GST is a must!
Unless you want Malaysia to turn into backwater nation, then go ahead! during Pakatan short 2 years, there was nothing done! Basically, talk 3 talk 4 over achievements that were not! Even Pan Borneo was halt! RTS was halt! HSR was halt! MRT3 was almost halt! The only thing moving is Mahathir 3rd national car!
But like you said, it's blessing in disguise! Pakatan was not learning from the past and they certainly hasn't learn anything until now! They still use Mahathir as their icon! I mean, what happen to Anwar!
