It will mean that we will have to create jobs that pay better. It will mean that we will have to create new sectors that create those jobs that pay better. It will mean that we need to reduce the portion of unskilled labour and go the automation and technological upgrade route so that with less labour but more skilled workers, each worker is paid much higher for their labour.
The problem is our education system do not produce skill manpower so who to blame?

Neither here nor there. Laborious work, not interested. Skillfully not competent. So how? Join politics or civil service.

These skills (cultivating curiosity, creative and critical thinking) help students learn, and so they are vital to success in school and beyond:
Children just need to learn Socratic Method of questioning (cultivate curiosity), Plato's Cave (the habit of thinking out-of-the-box) and Epicurean Paradox (systematic examination of factual claims). Teach them to use their own brain effectively, creatively and critically, so that they can adapt to the fast changing global technocratic landscape in order to survive independently; without anyone to keep telling them the list of 'dos' and 'don'ts' in adulthood.
CRITICAL THINKING
A critical thinker is able to deduce consequences from what he knows, and he knows how to make use of information to solve problems, and to seek relevant sources of information to inform himself without a busybody second or third party. Give a Man a Fish, and You Feed Him for a Day. Teach a Man To Fish, and You Feed Him for a Lifetime!
Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally about what to do or what to believe. It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking. Someone with critical thinking skills is able to do the following:
1. Understand the logical connections between ideas
2. Identify, construct and evaluate arguments
3. Detect inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning
4. Solve problems systematically
5. Identify the relevance and importance of ideas
6. Reflect on the justification of one's own beliefs and values
Good critical thinking is the foundation of science and democracy. Science requires the critical use of reason in experimentation and theory confirmation. The proper functioning of a liberal democracy requires citizens who can think critically about social issues to inform their judgments about proper governance and to overcome biases and prejudice.
Critical thinking is a domain-general thinking skill. The ability to think clearly and rationally is important whatever we choose to do. If you work in education, research, finance, management or the legal profession, then critical thinking is obviously important. But critical thinking skills are not restricted to a particular subject area. Being able to think well and solve problems systematically is an asset for any career.

Sadly Liew is populist politician! In Asia, only Myammar and Brunei yet to adopt GST! Even Saudi has GST!
Look, goverment must have source of revenue to ensure there's money for annualy budget! Money doesn't fall from the sky!
When Harapan removed GST, it had to sell off alot of natiaonal assets just to balance of their budget, and it's not working! Our debt only increase drastically!
Grow up Liew! Be a mature responsible lawmaker! Focus on eradication of corruption!
