The international community has developed a system of international laws to avoid war between nations after WWII. And China/CCP is breaking those laws every day.

China/CCP is doing exactly what Germany, Japan was doing during WWII. (More like Germany though)

If the international community doesn't suppress CCP/China now, it will inevitably lead to WWIII. Scarifying a small fraction of trade is a small price to pay.

The right strategy with regard to Taiwan is to keep status quo (No unification, no independence), Kinmen is just 10Km away from mainland, China as the next major superpower will not tolerate an independent Taiwan with US/5 eyes military base. It would be a strategic blunder for China if it's allowed to happen because USA and China are no friend to each other (search Thucydides Trap).

The civil war between KMT and CCP has not even concluded. You need to have your head examined when you think it's ok for Taiwan to even think of independence now.

But now taiwan is also China....bcos the china nationalist govt when they lose the war they run to taiwan mah...!!

China is willing to accept taiwan under 1 country 2 system rule just like HK & Macao provided taiwan surrender loh!!

Best strategy for Taiwan now is to continue to operate under present system, until the time when USA become weak and no longer want to protect taiwan & abandoned it....then taiwan should work with China under 1 country 2 system rule mah...!!
