Not sure if its a good company to invest despite their new product during covid-19. Greenpacket did really great marketing on their products , and i have seen GP's product everywhere, but not M3. Personally dont think the other products will do well too at the moment. Maybe years later?

What is the difference between investing and speculation?
Benjamin Graham addressed the differences between them on the very first page of his book, The Intelligent Investor.
Graham wrote, "An investment operation is one which, upon thorough analysis, promises safety of principal and an adequate return."
Based on this definition, there are three components to investing:
thorough analysis,
safety of principal, and
adequate return.
Graham added, "Operations not meeting these requirements are speculative."
To this, we can add:
(1) Any contemplated holding period shorter than a normal business cycle (typically 3 to 5 years) is speculation, and
(2) any purchase based on anticipated market movements or forecasting is also speculation.
Value investing meets Graham's definition of investing, addressing on: its focus on individual company analysis to determine intrinsic value, the margin of safety concept, and its success over the long term.
The distinction between investing and speculation is important for a reason Graham cited in 1949 and remains true today: "... in the easy language of Wall Street, everyone who buys or sells a security has become n investor regardless of what he buys, or for what purpose, or at what price...."
The financial media often refers to "investors" taking profits, bargain hunting, or driving prices higher or lower on a particular day. However, these actions are rightly attributed to speculators, not investors.
Investors and speculators approach their tasks differently.
Investors want to know what a business is worth and imagine themselves as owning the business as a whole. Unlike speculators, investors maintain a long-term perspective—at least 3 to 5 years. They look at a company from the perspective of owners. This means they’re interested in factors such as corporate governance, structure, and succession issues that may affect a company’s future and its ability to create wealth for years to come. Investors may use their voting rights to assist in enhancing company value over the long term.
Speculators, on the other hand, are less interested in what a business is actually worth and more concerned with what a third party will pay to own shares on a given day. They may be concerned only with short-term changes in a stock’s price, not in the underlying value of the company itself.
The problem with speculation is simple:
Who can predict what a third party will pay for your shares today, tomorrow, or any day?
Stock market prices typically swing between extremes, stoked by the irrational emotions of fear and greed.
Focus on the long term business value
Such dramatic price fluctuation on a day-to-day basis can test long-term investors’ mettle in maintaining their focus on business value.
Remember, the tendency is for business values day-to-day to remain relatively stable.
Day-to-day price changes should hold little interest for the long-term investor, unless a price has fallen to the “buying level” that represents a sizable margin of safety.
But that’s often difficult to remember when newspaper headlines, TV news anchors, friends, and coworkers are lamenting or lauding the market’s most recent lurch forward or back.
nope, the new normal will not give much contribution to their menu. knowing that most big organisation already engage with facial sensor. The small enterprise still keep with normal sensor due to high budget. I enquries few temperature sensor company before and the price isnt cheap
Thanks Jack. Levels that I had are 0.18, 0.225. 0.275 & 0.315. Hopefully it keeps trending up, though we should expect some retracement along the way. Best of luck to all M3Tech investors.
Review of result of 2Q 2020 vs 1Q 2020 ----------------------------------------------------- The Group reported a revenue of RM10.5 million in this current quarter under review as compared to RM9.8 million in the preceding quarter. The increase was mainly due to an increase demand on Mobile Solutions Services from our clients from banking sector.
The Group reported a profit before tax of RM0.25 million as compared to a loss before tax of RM0.2 million in preceding quarter. The turnaround results was mainly due to cost cutting measure and a growth of sales in Mobile Solution Services segment.
Commentary on Prospects ----------------------------------- The new products development couple with an increase in selling price have resulted in revenue growing 7% to RM10.5 million in Mobile Solution Services segment as compared to preceding quarter. We are continuing by adoption the advance technologies for customer retention management to deliver value for money to clients.
The implementation of the Movement Control Order in March 2020 and the subsequent Conditional Movement Control Order in June 2020 have certainly affected the i3Display business. The Cloud Service Solutions revenue plunged 66% to RM0.27 million in the second quarter ended 30 June 2020, from RM0.8 million the preceding quarter.
Recognizing the uncertainty brought about by the changing business conditions and the new social norms, the Group will continue to develop new products and exploring new technologies to cater to the market needs.
The main thing is that M3Tech has been improving Q on Q and to date, this is the best Quarterly result with Net Profit, albeit -ve, but less than 1M now. I believe if the company focuses on the right products, services & solutions given that the business climate will start to improve once Covid-19 pandemic is resolved, it can only see its share price trending higher. Certainly something may also be brewing with XOX buying quite a substantial amount of its shares..... perhaps a takeover maybe in the pipeline.
Xox do have M3tech share. M3tech MOC with AT Engineering Solution Sdn Bhd. AT Engineering Solutions have Pharmaceutical buisness too. M3tech is on positive bargain and collections at 0.165
XOX Group is looking into the opportunities to capitalise on the new relationship with M3 Technologies, including the potential of sourcing related technology and expansion of digital ecology and other business opportunities.
3 years ago, someone in this group "strongly recommended" M3. He of course was part of the syndicate then. From around 7c, price was pushed up to around 18c, slowly dropped to 8 - 10c, finally crashed to 2c in Mar this year. At 4c, DGB bought the private placement. If you check, many common shareholder among these stocks: MNC / AT / XOX / DGB / Anzo... I also can't remember all of them. M3 has never been in good profitable track record for the past > 10 years. Mk very little but lose a lot sometimes. The biggest shareholder is already old, IT knowledge to him is something far & not reachable. Under his, M3 has launched numerous of products in the market but, ALL products have failed miserably in the market. I think he just want to dispose off get good $$ & say good bye. How far would M3 go, I don't know. But if the biggest shareholder disposes off his holding, it's better prospect to M3. As said, his IT era was totally different from the new IT era now. His products / ideas never get good response from the market. Better for another good shareholder to come in & inject new life.

Whenever I see someone posts changes of shareholdings or any news available on the Bursa website, I think he is "bullish" on the stock, trying to remind everyone in the group that the particular stock "something on ". Probably he has bought some also, trying to unload.
