KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 12): Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd's majority-owned subsidiary Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd (BHSB) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Australia-listed International Equities Corp Ltd's (IEC) wholly owned subsidiary IEC Properties Pty Ltd under a planned arrangement for which IEC will have the sole distribution rights for a Covid-19 vaccine in Australia and New Zealand.
According to Bintai Kinden's filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the MOU enables BHSB and IEC to further negotiate the terms and conditions wherein IEC will be sub-licensed by BHSB to supply the Ii Key-SARS-CoV-2 vaccine in Australia and New Zealand.
On the Covid-19 vaccine and development, he also thanked China’s contribution and support for Asean’s initiatives for public health emergencies.
“We look forward to the swift completion of the clinical trials of the vaccine, and appreciate (China’s) President Xi Jinping’s pledge to make the vaccine a ‘global public good’.
“On that note, Malaysia is appreciative of China’s commitment to prioritise Malaysia as a recipient, and we are now ready to receive successfully developed Covid-19 vaccines,” he said.
Morocco presses ahead with vaccine campaign preparations
In implementation of Royal guidelines to roll out coronavirus vaccine for all, head of the government Saad Eddine El Othmani said that preparations are underway and the safety and health of citizens is a priority.
“Our country’s choice for a vaccine is based on the criteria of safety and efficiency,” said El Othmani at the weekly cabinet meeting held Thursday.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said communications with eight of the producers was made directly, while the other two was through the Covid-19 Vaccine Global Access Facility (COVAX).
He said some of the discussions are in the final stage and an official announcement would be made when everything has been finalised.
1) SOLUTION TO MARKET & DISTRIBUTE CANSINO'S VACCINE (Ad5-nCoV) IN MALAYSIA & ASEAN - Malaysia to be the regional fill and finish hub for CanSino to supply the vaccine to the region.
