Foreign fund buying on Bursa Malaysia continued for the second day on Thursday with net buying at RM241.4mil, according to BIMB Securities Research.

It said the gains in the FBM KLCI on Thursday, where the 30-stock index added 11.56 points to close at 1,809.13 was mainly due to fresh foreign fund inflows.

While foreign funds were buying, local institutions and retailers took the opportunity to lock in reent gains. Local funds were net sellers at RM187.5mil and retailers net sellers at -RM53.9mil.

Overnight on Wall Street, the major indices closed lower on profit taking as the US dollar strengthened against the euro amid the ongoing ECB’s bond buying process.

The DJI Average lost 117.16 points to close at 17,959.03. On the contrary, European markets were mostly higher from the ongoing QE as investors are betting on improving earnings from the weakening euro.

In Asia, major markets were mostly higher from inflows of foreign funds on expectations that the US rate hike will be delayed further.

“Despite the decline on Wall Street, we expect foreign funds to continue accumulating on Asian stocks today with the local benchmark index to retest the 1,820 level which is the immediate resistance,” it said.

If you have been long in the market, you would have known the beauty of stock movements is the push and pull effect. put it this way, when they push fast, you get scared, uncertain whether its a bluff or not, when they are steady on accumulation mode you get bored and snooze, when slow you begin to think that they are useless. @kakisaham, Bagus! itu macam baru betul.. kalau semua tak caya.. semua akan short-sell it saham, jadi harga saham akan turun..

kalau semua percaya saham akan naik, jadi saham akan naik.. itu saja.. kalau tidak,
tak payah kita bergantung kepada berita-berita dalaman, DJIA, S&P500, Nasdaq, Crude Oil, Europe, etc..

Fundamental sahaja tak mencukupi, kepercayaan kepada saham PRIVA akan mendapat keuntungan dan
pulangan yang besar lagi lumayan itu penting.. Semangat itu mesti ada!

@weavefinder, well said.. as I shared earlier, its the psychology of our minds that is the most important, emotions & hearts must be steady..
otherwise, it will lead you to make lots of mistakes, when need to sell high, you buy high, when you need to buy low, you sell low..
then during panic/dramatic time, suddenly computer system slow/freeze.. you press the wrong button.. all these will happen if we are not steady/calm enough..
for those who trade long enough will understand all these situations well enough..

ayo yo! stock prices normally will factor in future prices. Priva's playmaker is sounding the war drums for an upside war. Look at his robust defence at the 27 to 30 sen level.This counter if hits 25sen in 2 or 3 weeks time, than no point even buying! His job is done. You can forget the 1st Q report for 2015, dont even bother to wait for the report. I think no further explanation needed.
