1st Q is always seasonal with holidays and so on , so cannot compare with last Q performance , more reasonable to compare with last year same Q.

EPS 2.5 , target PE 15 , TP = 0.375.
Frankly the result is no good as expected, but it is not bad at all. four QR green result with TP above at least 0.30. tomorrow might not gap up, but keep for mid or long term will surely get rewarded.
P/s: This QR profit is less as compared to previous Qr is due to loss in currency exchange, or else, the earning this QR is better than last QR. Well, for me , investment is investing on the company.. if company manangement good and show developing future.. not wrong to hold the share right?
Just my opinion.. not a buy or sell call.. ^^

I have quite small position here but the result is good to me, if refer to quarterly results of TSMC 台积电, Frontken taiwan subsi is doing really good, this will be main driving force for frontken.

Improvements in Malaysia & Philippines can be expected too while Singapore is said to be challenging.

Always look at their quarter report for explanation.
1) Do not compare first quarter to fourth quarter as "Historically, the Group’s Q1
revenue was always lower due to the shorter business period as a result of holidays and Q4
tend to be our busier quarter due to ramp up in our customers’ business".

This means that they are actually doing pretty good in first quarter.

2) Net profit of Q1 is actually higher than Q4 where "previously it was due to a foreign exchange gain of RM3.4 million during the immediate preceding quarter. If we were to remove the foreign
exchange losses and gains from the respective results, Q1 would have been better than Q4
of 2016".

This stock finally turn green for 4 nearest quarter . Frontken main income is from Taiwan and there was Chinese New year on beginning of the year, production is expected slowdown. With this result, actually not bad..Plus seldom find a penny stock with strong cash on hand.

Frontken QR result is indeed very good if you take out the foreign exchange factor, considering first QTR of the year is a short quarter with long break during CNY.

I would prefer they pay dividend with the amount of money in hand. The last time the company paid dividend was 2011 and 2012. Last two years was not so good for Oil and Gas industry and the company did suffer losses in a few quarters.

Anyway, the management do make good use of the money to increase their shareholding in Taiwan business and share buy back. With the right opportunity, they can use the money for expansion or acquisition. Strong increase in cash position is always a good sign.
