The power plant has a power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for 21 years at a feed-in tariff of 87.4 sen/kWh.
The plant, which was completed within four months, has 41,076 solar panels and generated an average of one million kilowatt-hour of electricity monthly since it started in January this year.
1 million kWh per month at 87.4 sen/kWh, RM874k per month or RM10.488m per yr, not bad for additional income
Dear All ( esp Sephiroth), i would be glad if you explain to me regarding this RCPS. I hv no idea by what the company circular means by " redemption by the company"? Also, i would be glad if any of u could explain how to trade this RCPS by giving good examples. thanks!
brendon, rcps = preference share ma, can be traded like normal share loh LA = loan stock(eg l&g-la), PA = pref shares(check out the stock prices under preference shares section) , will be listed as amprop-pa or 1007pa in the 4th quarter 2014 (ie. oct-dec)
at the end of 1st yr after listing, amprop will need to pay 2 sen to all pref shares holder aka 4% yield on 50 sen. IF amprop don't want to pay the dividend, amprop have the right to redeem or buy back all pref shares at 0.50 per share
that's why, the first yr, the pa won't move much but at the end of first yr , u cud convert 2 PA to 1 amprop shares, it's all about holding power ma, most ppl will sell off the pa n cabut, long term investor will hold, say at the end of 1st yr, amprop trading at 1.40, their 0.50 will become 0.70, it's all about holding power ma
(a) Each ICPS shall be convertible at the option of the holder into one (1) new ordinary share of RM0.50 each in Ho Hup (“Ho Hup Share(s)”) at any time from the date of issue of the ICPS up to the maturity date. The conversion price shall be deemed to be satisfied by the ICPS holders tendering and surrendering the ICPS and no cash money shall be payable.
(b) No adjustment to the conversion price of RM0.50 per ICPS for one (1) new Ho Hup Share shall be made for any declared and unpaid dividends on the ICPS surrendered for conversion.
(c) If the conversion results in a fractional entitlement to Ho Hup Shares, such fractional entitlement shall be disregarded and no refund or credit, whether in the form of ICPS, cash or otherwise, shall be given in respect of the disregarded fractional entitlement.
(d) Any remaining ICPS that are not converted by the maturity date shall be automatically converted into new Ho Hup Shares.
During the bonus issue of AMprop, will its price be adjusted as well? Eg last day of trading prior to ex bonus is rm1.40. What will be the price of mom the day after?
Bro Sephiroth, does it mean if u do not redeem within d stipulated time a.) u loose ur right to redeem in Cash b.) and wait till end of year, then it wud b compulsory for the conversion 2 PA to 1 mother share ? Wat happen if d Mother share px down ..that means u won't b guarantee of the 50cts ?

Look at the bigger picture and its price may be higher than currently after the up n coming international/holidays distractions. Whose knows your calculations maybe lagi better.
Amcorp has set a priority to grow its renewable/green energy business sectment locally n overseas. It could contribute handsomely to its coffer if the PPA terms are good, it should be by the way the chairman is steering the wheels.
Green energy has a premium in price and off-take priority and I assume it comes with one basic 'Take or Pay' term in the PPA. Also, it generates carbon credit which can be sold internationally to off-set the carbon tax imposed by the poluters. The business looks insignificant but to be able to build n commision the plant in 4 months is no small step.
Oil price is set to increase n traditional energy source will creep-up accordingly. Whereas, green energy production is practically free after the initial CAPEX to build the plant. So you can say the owner will be collecting his revenue (less small operating expenses) from TNB n laughing to the bank.
Sephiroth, will the PA price be less than 50 sen after listing? I dont hv experience playing Preference/ Loan stock but i have the Amprop shares since 80-90 sen.
metta, brendon, u r guaranteed 0.50 if u sell PA within 3 months after listing, there will not be a compulsory conversion to mother share UNLESS amprop redeem at 0.50 at the end of first year . If amprop did not redeem at the end of first year (most likely) all PA holders will get 2 sen dividend and PA will move like mother share.
Amprop's London property biz will continue to grow as uk will recover recover strongly in the near future
Amcorp may rise after closing at its highest price in more than a year. Traders could purchase the stock if it stays above MYR1.10 today, with a close below MYR1.10 as a stop-loss. If the MYR1.15 resistance is broken, the price target will be MYR1.25. Note that the stock could trend lower if it fails to stay above MYR1.10, while downside risk will increase if the stop-loss is triggered.
Congrat to Sepiroth for spoting and buying a diamond winner! You definitely having a rm1 profit margin in hand! Read about Amprop solar farm the largest in Malaysia and up and running!
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
