Just for the fun of it.
The time it took to fall to the lowest borders of its channel line in 1998 to the next fall to the lowest borders of the same channel is 10 years. Thus that year was 2008. Using the same channel, project 10 years forward and the year would be 2018. The projected price then is abt 6.00

The reality is what goes up must also go down. When the stock finished its 5 wave rally, it will encounter a correction to its previous rally. The same applies to KLCI.
That is the reason I never keep my shares long term. For Keynes said "in the long term, we are all dead".

EPF stopped selling already, if they still selling I will report polis and MACC and tangkap EPF official 1, I want to know who's the buyers. My friend told me, EPF is a Ponzi scheme, they use your 11 percent month salary to pay 6 percent annual dividend/interest to EPF accounts. As long as Malaysian people believe in them, they will survive. I think soon, 80yo is to be qualify to take your money out of EPF.

I'm planning to re-enter and accumulate slowly for medium/long term..Therefore, I'm very careful to choose right enter price, as I had experience cut-loss Maybank two times this year..I don't want to go through another cut loss..

Lower OPR actually is good for banks. But It depends on how aggresive the banks e.g. in gaining loan (with lower interest rates) applications from customers..

The main problem I observed with its price is when it tries to go up.. big persistent sell-offs will block its path. So looks like very hard for the price to improve when the intention of these sellers is "only one way - down". Sorry to the holders..

My view is that since EPF has divided its funds into syariah n conventional, it now has excess of Maybank shares as the syariah portion cannot hold any finance sector shares. Hence, the need the rebalance its portfolio. Most of the notice to KLSE is 'disposal' by EPF since its rally in Feb.
Even as it rallied up in Feb n went above $9.00, EPF is still 'disposing' rather than 'acquiring.'

Lower OPR should promote loans growth in the long term. In the immediate term bank will lose out as loans rates are lowered immediately but term deposits rates remain till maturity.

I bought Maybank shares last Feb n continued to hold even as it went above $9.00. Eventually, I sold off at a small profit below $9.00. In hindsight, I should have sold when it went above $9. I kept holding believing that EPF would support the shares.
I became suspicious when I noticed that EPF is in fact disposing.

Most prolly EPF was given an "instruction" to allocate some of its funds to support and to assist in pushing up certain counters.. thus Maybank was "chosen" to be alienated eventho its fundamentally sound..

Back to 7.75 again from 7.84 today.. what a good effort by the sellers with big blocks.. wow!! See.. how the price was defied from rising? Not sure how this so called "caps" gonna last. This also does not bold so well for Maybank bcoz big fund investors especially foreign will shy away from counters like this where the price can easily be pushed down quite drastically.. very negative points..
