CMSB did not execute any share buybacks last week when price is so so low keep us puzzled. If CMSB starts buy back shares, it would be safe to say the price is at its bottom. I have bought at 1.65 and it kept dropping. But am still confident with the company big turn around in Q3 2021.
CMSB division OM Materials, Kenanga and Sacofa should do well in Q1. A little disappointment with MPAS project not being able to meet target delivery of Q4 2020. MPAS is a RM 2.2 billion investment on phosphate manufacturing plant at Samalaju Industrial Park expected to start operations in July 2021. This project should contribute substantially to the company as the commodity prices now are at almost all time high.
recorded a three-and-a-half fold higher net profit of RM77.8 million for the first quarter ended March 31, 2021 (1QFY21) compared with RM17.28 million in the same period last year....great quarter result
3x more profit only warrant 3 sen share price increase! Malaysian stock market is dying ...no more future. Better shift my money to other market and other asset class .
TedTock, foreigners keep selling down non-stop for years . Local institutios are dry . Substantiall proportion of retail investors are taking gambling approach. Where does the future of Malaysian mkt lies ? I wonder .
Its a reflection of our economic fundamentals I suppose, mixed with a lack of political certainty - I mean political leadership can change but our policies should always be reliable.
The current lockdown implemented by Sarawak starting tomorrow 29 May to 11 June will allow economic activity. However, they will review the plan by federal government and decide whether or not to follow suit.
@Moratorium, what brings you here ? Pls share. I was lucky to sell all at $2.25 before the price collapsed. Still hesitating if I should re enter now. The company has a bit of governance issue and don't know if there is anything that will explode from the newly appointed auditor's finding.
Just diversifying, since my MMC is likely to be taken private. Not comfortable sitting on too much cash. I'm a value investor so I do see some value here. Also Sarawak election will be coming but dunno when. Anyway, just a small position just to test water...
OM Holdings will delist from Australia Exchange and list in Malaysia. I foresee this as a sign that OM Sarawak (JV with CMSB) will be undergoing major expansion.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
