I though Crude Oil price went up refinery should be lower earning? Petrol in malaysia is controlled price so price is the same and raw material which mean crude oil should be cheap.. No?

Crude oil price low, refinery earning big !! Petrol station in Malaysia price always remain same even though crude oil price drop, thus, crude oil so low, PETRONM will earn big~~~

Look at Petronas Dagangan, it's RM24 plus and currently earns less than Petron, so current price has much room to go higher. The fair price of Petron should be in the range of between RM12 to RM15 ie ascribing a discount to Petronas Dagangan, the bigger brother. The catalyst to the price rocketing upwards would be if the management declare a hefty dividend or bonus to reward shareholders to celebrate record profits for FY 2015, cheers.

bangkukayu, short selling means selling without owning the said securities. If no security is borrowed for the shorting, its called naked short and not allowed in Malaysia. To short in Malaysia, its both costly and limited by choice (Bursa has a list of short-able shares, you have to check yourself, I am not keen and don't know much the details.)
