Keck Seng's management has been more proactive lately as far as disposing of its share investments is concerned. The company sold over RM 80 million worth of share investments during the first 9 months of this year, more than 10 times the amount the company sold during the previous 9 years (not including the sale of Parkway Holdings 3 years ago) and raking in over RM 30 million in profit. Keck Seng sold an extremely negligible amount of its share investments during the 2008/09 financial crisis. The market value of its share investments plunged by over 50% from end 2007 to end 2008.
when the scrips r few , trading volume will be little. Just look at IOI , that it s share is only 10cts but already surpassed RM6....when add to a RM share , its share has already attained more than RM 60...which is better and higher than KLK ? It is already overdue for kseng to split its share to 10cts and make it more marketable . This is the only way to boost up the trading volume and increased price. shares at RM 7 andabove , will lost its appeal sooner than later.
If the company really intends to pay a special dividend, it would have been announced together with the third quarter financial results. Don't hope for any special dividend now. Small investors can only hope that the management makes better use of Keck Seng's cash mountain which now exceeds RM 920 million.
Stay firm. Johor royal sold 6 plot of property in JB last week at RM891.00 per square ft. Jz imagine if Keck Seng landed properties are valued at 10% of the said value, it'll be worth billions as well. Things will turn out to be better soon. No worry. Cheers!!!
are the land hold by Keck Seng at the same area as those JB land sold to China Developer? else.. everything is just a dream.. JB is so big.. the land price may be BIG different
kseng is RM1 share , so at RM 7 is considered dirt cheap coz other shares with 10 ct par also has achieved more than RM6 , so this is only a penny stock by nature @70 cts/10 cts share .....same as cepat and rsawit ?

If you are hoping for a special dividend, your hope is long gone. The price set back is only temporary. Keck Seng is among the top land owners in the IDR region. Keck Seng's cash position visavis its paid up capital ranks among the top five companies listed on the stock exchange.
Boleh but price just keep drop .. Yes Long Term but price may back to RM 5 , if later on up back to RM 7 everyone said this is long term counter it will go to RM 8 .. then later on back to RM 5 again ..
So suitable for long term or not , not just depend on company asset .. 100% depend on management, how to create value to share holders. For them they are no rush, bc their salary is higher, they can give themselve high pay and bonus without gain any in share market. Company money control by them and they can later privatise it when push to lower. So please dont too positive in such counter unless Management have decide to change.
If they really care about us "small share holders" they wont waste the 108 account just like that. Because that money is benefit to us that who pay tax lower than 25% and if you are say use that money to expand the business ? Why holding so long and never expand ? Expand Plantation land bank? holding RM 900M cash why not choose the right time CPO lowers price to expand land bank like what IOI Corp ? Boustead ? FGV ? .TSH???. why why why ???
betul tu , pengurusan yg cukup malap ...tax rebate tak bagi . keputusannya kerajaan tetap untung kerana pengurusan pilih utk serahkan balik 100% bulat-bulat kepada kerajaan , amal jariah kot.. pemegang saham minority kini yg rugi sebab itu duit semua bukan duit towkay ? mereka ni memang tak guna langsung...dah beritahu kali-kali jangan abaikan minority pemegang saham tapi apa boleh buat ? memang degil sekali . Apa gunanya div 11 cts utk saham RM7...? CEO buat apa ? asik duduk aje tak buat apa-apa dan makan gaji buta....
share buy back at snail speed , 10,000 units x 3 times this year .what is the use after given permission to buy back 10 % shares in the open market ? sit on it ...n do nothing?
The management should not have wasted the 108 balance. I wonder if the company was trying to please the Inland Revenue Department. If Keck Seng can win some favors in return, then all share holders would benefit.

Don't be driven to despair. The set back is only temporary. Keck Seng's over RM 900 million cash, over RM 400 million worth of share investments, over 8000 acres of plantation land, 1800 acres of housing development land, Menara Keck Seng etc remain intact. Haha
