They should do like other airline is doing...start cutting people, revamp their existing contracts with suppliers and take the neccessary steps..otherwise next qtr will just be as red as this one...

I think no serious investor would like to invest in MAS for now based on the poor result, only contra kaki trying to catch the falling knife, most die kawkaw and more cut lost to come, my 2 cents.

Looks like its put warrant -HA has value. Ex. Price 0.35; Expiry 10/11/14. Now at 0.15.

The lowest-priced call warrants are CR, CS and CV.
CR 0.30; Expiry 22/7/14
CS 0.31; 29/8/14
CV 0.32; 19/1/15

Would be crazy to buy now when we don't know where the bottom is. But it may be worth our while to keep tabs on developments. MAS has been known to see sudden interest based on news and providing opportunities for traders and punters to make good gains from the call warrants. For the time being, however, it's better to just stay at the sidelines.

@trioloo86 Wow, you are really bold. Good luck! I don't dare to try catch the bottom in the hope of a rebound anymore. There have been successes, and satisfying profits, in the past. But there were failures too. Now I've changed strategy - jumping in only when something is going up.

@pirate99 Yup, long time. Went out way too early last year, and then watched the oil & gas sectors going up and up. But there are always chances in the stock market.

@Hustle Kaunter apa-apa pun, semua macam belut. Tak ada kepastian. Kena guna Law of Probability & "tumpang semangkuk" bila nampak macam uptrend. Lain lah kalau betul-betul nak invest, boleh tunggu.

你就会发现马航转亏为盈的曾诺，
又再一次落空了。
到底马航的问题出在哪里呢？


首先，我们先排除大马航空业面临的3大考验，
1 油价上涨
2 美元走强
3 Malindo的加入


我们主要来看马航的内部问题。
马航的营业额是没有问题的，
还不断增加tim。
所以重点就落在盈利。
一家有营业额但是没有盈利的公司，
当然问题是出在花费上。


花费基本上分为3种
1 variable cost会随着营业额的增加而增加
比如：汽油的用量
2 fixed cost固定的花费
管理层的薪水
3 financial cost
借钱的利息
不论问题出在哪里，
肯定是管理层的问题，
因为制定一个好的方针。


马航说要重组，
但是却不炒掉问题的中心，
只是在一些皮毛的地方开刀，
比如：增加一点载客率，
换一些节能飞机，
根本于事无补。
这个不叫做重组，
应该叫做修饰。


接下来马航要如何填补这个洞呢？
其实基本只有3条路可走。
1 再次发附加股让股东买单
2 卖掉飞机改用租的，就可以获得一大笔现金
3 提高机票价格，营业额必定减少
总结：马航一天没有大幅裁员，
就不需要去留意，
除非它的竞争对手有一天凭空消失。
（在大马没有什么事是不可能的^^

buy when mas when it is near 23sen (right issue price safest entry).... i will Q for Mas 23sen everyday.. sell at 25sen == atm machine for this counter....

MAS should trim away excess pilots and stewardesses, staffs..or atleast do not overpay them..
I wonder how they hire staffs that don't know how to speak English at counters, you speak English to them they answer you Bahasa, you ask again in English, they answer again in Bahasa, how to go international?
