Penang state government have quite big portion (few %) MISC share.. so this is why they failure to collect 90% + those outside speculators collect for get higher price, now kena connnnns.

IF PKR win then you should buy , Bc Lim Guan Eng said it should worth RM 8 at least.

Those 13% shareholding are those who bought MISC at rm7.00-rm10.00 but failed to run away due to MISC share price crash induced by EPF itself...if you look at MISC share price trend,it correlates with EPF selling...now kena!

私有化破局遭抛售MISC 大跌13.8%

（吉隆坡22日讯）随着国家石油（Petronas）的献购私有化计划失败后，马国际船务（MISC，3816，主板贸服股）周一股价应声下跌，闭市时大跌73仙，或13.77 %，挂4.57令吉。
马国际船务早盘以4.80令吉开市，低于上周五闭市时的5.30令吉，随后在两分钟内就继续崩盘至4.50令吉的全日最低价位，狂跌80仙，或15%。
国油或再献购
随后，马国际船务虽有所回升，但回弹力度有限，全日处于4.50令吉至4.85令吉之间，成交量达1735万6100股。
随着上周五（4月19日）献购截止，国油的持股权仅达86.07%，未达到90%的门槛，无法转成强制性收购，马国际船务的私有化献议正式破局。
根据规定，国油需等待12个月后，才可再一次提出献购马国际船务的股权；分析员也不排除国油在未来卷土重来。
此外，分析员也相信，持有6.4%股权的国民投资机构（PNB）或已转态接受献议，促使国油献购持股率增至86.07%。
早前，国油已把献购价从最初5.30令吉，调高至5.50令吉，仍无法获得所需13.93%股东支持，反映出调整后的献购价仍不足于吸引散户。
马银行投行研究分析员推算，短期投资者都趁这个良机脱售离场，不过，许多长期投资者都不愿接受献购。
那些在2010年以7令吉认购马国际船务附加股的长期投资者，因献购价比他们当时的认购价格低21%，而宁可等待船运业周期复苏。
随着马国际船务将保留上市地位，肯纳格研究分析员认为，该集团或将重组业务，尤其是持续亏损的石油和化学业务。
股价短期承受卖压
分析员均认为，马国际船务私有化破局后，股价在短期内将面对沉重卖压，但预计不会跌破4.50令吉。
该股今年初介于4.06令吉至4.53令吉之间，在国油宣布献购后，股价升至5令吉至5.50令吉之间。
随着该交易告吹，MIDF研究分析员预计，股价将回跌至私有化献购前水平。
然而，另有分析员认为，该股面对抛售的压力不会太显着，至少不会跌破4.50令吉。
兴业研究分析员指，独立顾问估计马国际船务业务的参阅估值为每股5.69令吉至6.10令吉，这可缓和市场的卖压。
中短期盈利不明朗
分析员估计，马国际船务中短期内的盈利表现，将继续受到石油和化学品船运业务供过于求的影响。
尽管最糟糕情况已过去，但全球环境持续不明朗，盈利表现仍会激烈波动。
高波动的承租率和船只供求不平衡，分析员预计，船运业将继续面对严峻考验，尤其是石油和化学品船运业务。
多位证券分析员因而调低马国际船务的评级和目标价，并谨慎看待中短期业绩展望。
无论如何，一旦船运领域复苏，马国际船务的业绩获得改善，或成功脱售面对亏损的业务，分析员将会重新调高目标价。

Now that the takeover failed, Petronas will have to re offer only after after 6 months. Six Months will be a long wait. Anything can happened.

Misc still good stock & qtrly result now positive.to me best buy below 4.60.after failed to takeover from petronas.target new price offer from petronas for next 6 month rm5.80 to rm6.00..not expect too high above rm8.00 (overvalue).dont speculate price.

guys. need to stop fighting the trend. KISS principle (i learnt hard way). keep it simple. too many other good counters out there. they're right in front of you. names like pbank, tasek, allianz, nestle, digi, harta, hlfg, lafarge, dksh, axreit, klccp etc.. counters that won't steal your wealth. leave trading to the pros.

why 4.15 off market? manipulation? and yes 12 month fr some act...sapa belajar law fahamlah... the chairman of petronas said RM 2 is possible... and why not? proton fr 10 to 4 , mas fr ? to 76 cents...why not ... actually petronas have some way to expand misc biz but with their own money..., people who reject the 2nd offer are to ego...they think this HLcap ...what if that quek want to dispose first ...mati ... only tan sri ninam is generous (although not fair)-3 offers .... and can this be a conspiracy of petronas?...just about 3 percent? why don't they buy some under 5.50 before... musykil2

iafx, Click the Chart and look at 2Y data. I bought at 3.90 in JUN,12 and the price are mingling around 3.87+-. Managed to sell @4.75 in JUL,12 where the highest are @4.79.
MISC Boom in in FEB,13 to 5.0+- but I do not have a 'Holding Power' from AUG,12 to FEB,13.
