Hi PJ, not so direct lah these cases. Seldom will be reported but if any consolation for the investing public, the process of prosecution flow will be as follows
1. Investigation
2. Prosecution
3. Court
4. AG Chambers for final appeal. Much like 1MDB case lah...

Under AML law, their money is considered state property already under item 1 coz illegal deposit taking. Bitcoin and all new alternative ventures no license from BNM even though is grey area. If use AML on this, government can declare is money laundering coz bitcoin is non recognized money spinning platform. So either way money is in gov pocket liao.

As for prosecution, definitely under AML 5/10 years of jail liao. Automatic court procedure BUT the final flow lands in the AG chamber discretion.
