Cocoa beans price dropping , the raw material for cocoa powder grinders. Good for GCB as 70% to 80% Cost of Gold Solds are derived from cocoa beans. The further saving is from strong Ringgit against USD, we should see substantial forex gains in GCB's Quaterly result ended March 31, 2016.
360 capitalist....from last year GCB 1.34 u already said the cocoa price going down and the QR report...now GCB barely make it into 1.00...u still keep saying coacoa beans are down...when are u giving up?and ur bintai 1 million share where is it?LOL

Value GCB at MYR1.56 per share by pegging 1.8x P/BV to its FY16F BV of MYR0.87, which implies 14.8x FY16F P/E. We think our target P/BV multiple is reasonable, as it is in line with the peers’ average of 1.8x and below GCB’s historical average 1-year forward P/BV of 2.0x. By RHB research
http://campus.hesge.ch/commodity_trading/?cat=52 We are moving to the July 16 contract and can observe that Coca price increased during the month of April. It hit 2016 highs, after Asian grinders reported higher-than-expected volumes. In Asia cocoa grinding was up 2.9% in the first three months while markets was expecting a 1% increase
allan, high cocoa prices can be interpreted as good or bad depending on perspective and time horizon. Most people see cocoa as supply for GC so a lower cost would improve margins and therefore profits. However it's not so simple. Lower cocoa prices usually means lower demand for cocoa (or too high supply, etc) . So this will translate to lower demand for the entire industry as a whole. Look at why even with low oil prices oil refineries are not exactly surging up in price.
