Interestingly, Awang Daud’s entry into Sealink could be seen to be in line with Serba Dinamik’s recent moves to strengthen its capabilities. Separately, fellow co-founder cum group chief executive officer Datuk Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah had also personally invested into Sarawak Consolidated Industries Bhd (SCIB) and Kumpulan Powernet Bhd (KPowernet) this year.

with new shareholders incoming hard to say.... new businesses etc forget about previous track record .. now price so cheap and Sarawak - SerbaD- Sarawak equations should be very intriguing. Kpower SCIB rise from slum taken as indicator i guess.. Put in freezer and watch the TV
NTA for Sealink RM0.70 compared to current market value of current share price of RM0.450 and with the entry of new shareholders Dato Awang which we expected him and his team to set new direction of the company. Furthermore, from analysis of the Annual Report the company vessels mostly constructed its own shipyards. With current accounting standards all vessels internally construct need to be stated at Cost. Hence overall the company book value should be higher.
With Serba founder Dato Awang enter into Sealink and their track record with recent purchase by their associates in KPOWER and SCIB which share price have move substantially since they enter the two later companies. Hence Sealink has set the stage for future grow especially no major announcement since Dato Awang enter Sealink
On 15.08.2019 business associate of Dato Awang that is Datuk Abdul Karim at RM1.10 per share and current shares price had reached RM1.90 as at 31.12.2019. This represent 72% of gain for the period under review. For KPower which being acquired by associate of Dato Awang in 2019 and their share price has increased substantially. Previously the share was owned by Datuk Lee Chong Wei’s brother (retired national shuttler) Datuk Lee Chong Hoon and another person. With this track record, Sealink which is being takeover by Dato Awang seem like still at relatively low share price. Hence the potential share price likely to have good margin for potential investors.
Sealink have 33 vessels which operates at various geographic locations over 20 country and builds, owns and operates the fleet serve the global exploration and marine industry. From the analysis, the utilize rate of vessels relatively low compared pear group in the industry and currently there are over 900 offshore platforms and maintenance of oil rig contract will continue to be awarded. Hence the demand of offshore vessels will be huge and sealink will likely benefited from this. Furthermore crude oil price above US$60 will result oil major to award more contract this include vessels requirement to perform the secured contract. All this will benefit Sealink with current tight market supply of offshore support vessels.
