ask an old school mate (now an accountant) about the different trend of Ambank, RHB, Affin ....

he said banks are always the portfolio of funds and and dividend intended investors, once the dividend is low (use 1 year FD as benchmark), these holders will sell and looking for higher dividend stocks .... he said unless there is improvement of dividend, stock price could be hovering at low price for a prolong period ......

just another point for those consider to buy .... thank to my helpful old classmate too!

if u ask a person who has large holding whether it is worth to buy? for sure he will ask u to buy (especially he is in losing position and hope for relief) .....

if u ask a person without holdings, he may tell u, bank stocks are not like those speculation counters, and their holders are state funds /big funds /insurance co. .... etc. There must be reasons of low /high valuation behind ..... no harm to understand the reasons behind if u might put substantial amount of yr money .... but if u just buy a few lots, u can try yr luck without a deeper look ..... :-)

Affin is at ard 9 years low. It literally means that u have the patience to wait 9 years until u finally buy it. Odds is better than 90 pcts of the people who buy it already.

i dun intend to debate Affin value, let everybody has their own view, may be some are quite unique...... let,s observe whether it works later ......

Just like BIMB, some thought it is too high and sold last week (include warrant) but today it goes higher .....

When a person still holding, he ask other to buy, just in two days, without price rising tòo much, he sold ..... u can see how other members comment on this kind of person .....

it is not about the value, but about how to make use the situation for own benefit .... dun discount the hidden unhonurable imtention of a person .......

probably a merger between affin and cimb is coming soon.
among the companies in the army fund, only affin is consistently making good profit. The army fund need money. They will get the money needed once this merger happened.

Didn't study in-depth on Affin's latest QR. Based on EPS it was within my expectation. Problem is our local stockmarket is not going to go up unless the foreign funds return in a big way.
