Maxis paid out dividend quarterly @ 8 sen/share ( good for year 2014) + 1 final dividend payout in June.. also 8 sen/share. Therefore, Maxis paid 40 sen dividend per lot per year.

Many asked abt the parking fee, late refreshment foods & door gift etc but have forgotten to ask about the dividend for 2015.

Chairman mentioned that 2014 is a transformation year & we can only see the result of the new management in 2015.

In 2015, the dividend distribution will be depend very much on the net profit & no guarantee of 40 sen dividends. 75% of the net profit will be distributed as dividends to the share holders.. Maxis can borrow money to pay extra dividend provided that the total amt of loans borrowed is less than 2 times ebitda.

I think what the Chairman meant was, they will try to maintain the 40 sen/year div as fas as they could, even though exceeding their net profit (provided if they have enough cash to do so). Worst case is they will give 75% of the net profit.

Once the dividend is declared, the market share price wud less out the dividend amt to reflect the actual market value.. it's norm, don't worry.. The share price will rise again shortly within days

If we have confident with Tan Sri Anantha Krishnan, why we need to bother Hong Leong and HwangDBS. They can target whatever price laa. But if the targeted price never come true, not sure how the investors wud think of them. :) LOL

Johnstone: ex date is on 28/5 .... The market price should less out the dividend amount on ex date....
By looking at the declared dividends, it should going up rather than going down... It is a bit of unusual.... I believed it will be raising up again in 1-2 weeks times ..

Ya.. possibly I got it wrong cos too busy & did not check into the date details.

But there is a difference between the dividend ex date & dividend declared & confirmed
date. Once Maxis confirmed to pay the final dividend for 2013, they will have to lock up
the funds from their book to pay for the dividends, thus this lead to a reduction in
the share price value.

Maxis' highest price recorded today is RM6.98 & now is RM6.94
Maxis declared 8 sen final dividend for 2013 + 8 sen for 1st Q 2014
Total current Maxis share market worth = RM6.94 + 0.16 =RM7.10
It's better to earn the dividends and keep dividends in your pocket
rather than Maxis' price go up to RM7.1 but without declaring any dividend.
