A sharing... Maxis' high dividend does not match with it earning. For instance, total EPS is 22.6 and paid a total of 40.0 in dividend for the past 4Q. That could be a reason why investors are selling.

if dividends payout would drop frm 0.4 to 0.3 per annual and based on today's open price RM 6.45, DY still 4.65%. Still not bad... If I hv enough bullet, i ll load it....

Yes, they see a bigger picture than us.
Yes, look like some big events are coming soon
They strategize to acquire more Maxis shares in a much lower price
& sapu the 16 sen dividends as well.

If you have extra $$$, its time to buy more Maxis share now.
But if you do not have extra $$$, it's ok but keep your Maxis
shares, do not sell out the shares now !!

Do you know why the sell q still so high? will it dropped back to 6.50 - 6.60 range? need some advice before buying in. How will the dividend in 2015 be affected? 8 cent dividend declared for 2nd quarter....feel good abt it...So far, Maxis shd be the best dividend cntr in KLCI. Worth to hold on.. It's a medium to long term investment shares. It is a good cntr 4 people who have spare $$$ & have holding on pow'r.

Not sure what rate plan you are using.. if you use Maxis' TalkMore28 plan, you can talk for 200 mins with RM28 and with free 100 SMS. Even if you have finished off your monthly quota of 200 mins, the call rate for pay per use is only RM0.15/min. You are advised to call up Maxis' call Center @ 123 to find out more. Pls also access to the above link to understand Maxis' service packages :)

Hi John, I am using postpaid. Hence my rates are more expensive than yours without us maxis users notice.

Anyway, these are the current rate i obtained from the net.

But they are putting banner everywhere using hotlink to bangladesh for 5 cents per 30 second block.

Don't you think is much cheaper than yours RM0.15/min after all they are calling so far and have to pay for the other operators in Bangladesh? You only calling locally and have to pay RM 0.15 even though your call went to a voicemail box.

What is the ministry of communication and multimedia doing about this?

OIC.. for purpose of comparing the rate, it is best to convert the 30sec to 60sec block, then you will notice actually the IDD rate is not very cheap. Further, Maxis is offering the IDD rate based on the "132" approach where they are collaborating with other international carriers to offer competitive call rate..

The postpaid rate of 15sen/min is kind of old standard rate plan, which Maxis advertised one rate within Malaysia & for Maxis to Maxis calls, callers are entitled for 20% call charge discount. But, why use this standard old rate plan when you can subscribe for other cheaper rate plans ?

As for me, I have 5 mobile lines + 1 data line with Maxis... the average charges I paid is only abt RM200/mth, average abt RM40/person/mth. I am a heavy user cos using the mobile line for my business. I subscribed for the rate plan where family members calling family members is foc. So, I think the rate plan is good for me :)

John, i guess you got it wrong. You are talking about family plan where your minimum payment per person is RM 40/month and you have to choose 5 person. What about calling other operator lines like Digi, Celcom and U - mobile?
