Digi is a good stock, but dividend payout ratio is close to 100%, further increase in dividend is unlikely without increase in revenue and net profit. Considering current competitive environment in Telco (u mobile and tm getting into this mkt), it seems like digi has to bear with not so good result for some time until the overall sentiment improves.

Well well... "Digi has just announced its Q1 2016 results and they currently have the most mobile subscribers at 12.34 million. That’s a 5.5% increase from Q1 2015 (11.69 million subscribers) with net additions 3 quarters in a row. As a comparison, Maxis currently has 12.31 million subscribers according to its recent Q1 2016 results"

If DIGI Q1 is already not bad, Q2 would be better right? Especially since the "price war" happened later in Q1 and the one million customer exodus from Maxis was reported in April? What do you think? Disclosure: I bought some DIGI.

The 4,61 support didn't hold. Now 4.56 is being challenged. Going to watch the close. Might be an opportunity to nibble. One-third of the intended capital might be prudent. If 4.56 doesn't hold, at least the other two-thirds is still uncommitted. Have to take risks to try make a profit.

Every telco is facing this situation due to intense competition not just Digi. Even if u lower yr price considerably, it does not mean yr profit will increase if it resulted in razor thin margins. In the end, u would have a lot of unprofitable customers n getting network congestion. Even TM which demerged its mobile arm to what is now Axiata is now trying to get into mobile business. The worse is yet to come. Right now, I am not invested in telcos.

Willy I find out Digi P/E Ratio 's numbers increase compare to last time ,
details as = P/E Ratio : 21.45
If willy you dont mind can I ask you one thing please help me ?
numbers on P/E Ratio more consider good or numbers on P/E Ratio less consider good ?

I mean digi's P/E Ratio increase as P/E Ratio : 21.45 , so that mean digi better than last time ?

PE ratio increase is depend on investor expectations, If it's high growth company. People willing pay higher price to buy their share, Like karex PE 40+. Still have people keep collecting. Since telco too competitive & growth are limited. If PE keep higher and higher, Better stay away. And par value only 0.01. It's over price.

just my personal opinion.

what Willy Lye say not all wrong and not accurate too, P/E (21.45) for Digi is abit high when you understand base on theory or books. however don't forget ROE for digit is 300%++
go and check it out is there a telco company giving you this ROE?
Also Digi is giving out almost 100% of what they earn.

no doubt telco biz are very competitive nowadays, believe Digi find hard to survive.
Still with today price doing at ~RM4.50 it's bargain buy.

Bro syeoh1, ROE only can define the pass. Share is about the future. Bat with high ROE too. Now you see the share price last year till today. Bat & digi both are losing 20-30% of share price between 1 year. Even you collect the dividend still losing big $$.
