Still cheaper for the companies with the same Market Cap, the smaller the EV/EBIDA is, the cheaper the company is < 10 EV/EBITDA = Enterprise Value (Today) / Earnings Before Depreciation and Amortization (TTM) = 572.2 / 101.123 = 5.658 Enterprise Value (Q: Mar. 2015 ) = Market Cap + Preferred Stock + Long-Term Debt = 616.29872 + 0 + 17.085 + Short-Term Debt Without Lease + Minority Interest - Cash and Cash Equivalents + 90.404 + 1.207 - 152.757 = 572.2 Latitude Tree Holdings Bhd Earnings Before Depreciation and Amortization for the trailing twelve months (TTM) ended in Mar. 2015 was 15.795 (Jun. 2014 ) + 23.579 (Sep. 2014 ) + 34.708 (Dec. 2014 ) + 27.041 (Mar. 2015 ) = RM101.123 Mil.
Latitude has good growth potentials and expansion prospects which makes me like this company so much. No doubt that this stock is thinly traded, but I am not afraid as I am guaranteed a bright future if I invest in this stock. I judged it based on its 3 years performances which is increasing with revenue and net profits increased gradually.
The reason why this stock is slow ( but steady) is that the major shareholders and fund managers from local and foreign hold on tightly on this stock. The company is run by Taiwanese and about 65% of its shares are held by the Lin family. Thus, u can see how illiquid of this stock will be. You will hence see that the stock price is relatively stable.
So, if u do not have patience in investing, pls avoid this counter. It does not suit u at all. You have to hold it for at least 3-6 months to see it growing. It is same as if u r planting a durian tree. U don't expect it to bear a MusangKing durian within 1 day of planting it! You have to be patience and nurture it with kindness and love.
I name Latitude as a blue chip due to its growth consistency + good fundamental aspect. Although dividend yield is not as attractive, but to me, it is just a sweetener of being a loyal shareholder. Dividend payment is my 5th criteria to choose a stock. The 1st criteria is growth expansion.
According to sources close to the company, it has a KPI to be achieved yearly. One of them is to target a net profit increase by at least 10% every quarter and NTA increase by 5-6% per quarter. Net profits are retained in the treasury for CAPEX purposes to fund expansion.
Latitude is involved in the manufacturer and export of wood based furnitures. 95% of its products are exported to US Europe and Asian countries. Its rival is Liihen Bhd. Other furniture companies eg Pohuat and Homerits are not its competitors ( sofa and wooden rubber furnitures). The export to US makes it a major beneficial to the strengthening USD. Hence i foresee that there will be growth for this stock for years to come.
I am not crazed to promote Latitude, but I am just deducing from the facts given from the annual and quarterly report.
with yesterday announcement on the completion of the late founder estate, I think management shld look into restructuring the company to enhance shareholder values. The low liquidity of less than 50000 shares traded shld be addressed immly. If not, this share can easily be forgotten and management (the founding family) who holds more than 35% will see their wealth quickly shredded.
to my opinion all furniture not have this much value ,this is short term game. how many people every years change the house furniture .secondly why not to look forward timber counter also export to other country.{under value}WTK ,TA AAN.
