Patimas Computers Bhd, which has been in the news for its possible delisting from Bursa Malaysia, said it has secured a reprieve following the filing of an appeal to the stock exchange. Patimas said the delisting, which was supposed to take place on Nov 29, had now been deferred pending the hearing of their appeal. The company is appealing against a recent Bursa Malaysia's decision to reject its request for an extention of time to submit a regularisation plan to extricate itself out of its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status.
However, Patimas also stated that Bursa would suspend the trading of its securities from today, which is after five market days from the date of notification of suspension. (Starbiz)
Patimas gets Bursa relief PETALING JAYA: Patimas Computers Bhd, which has been in the news for its possible delisting from Bursa Malaysia, said it has secured a reprieve following the filing of an appeal to the stock exchange.
Patimas said the delisting, which was supposed to take place on Nov 29, had now been deferred pending the hearing of their appeal.
The company is appealing against a recent Bursa Malaysia’s decision to reject its request for an extention of time to submit a regularisation plan to extricate itself out of its Practice Note 17 (PN17) status.
However, Patimas also stated that Bursa would suspend the trading of its securities from today, which is after five market days from the date of notification of suspension.
Prior to this, Patimas shares were supposed to be suspended on Nov 27 and subsequently delisted on Nov 29. Its appeal plan is possibly its last chance for staying listed.
Patimas closed the day at 1 sen and has a market capitalisation of only RM8.4mil. Year-to-date, the stock is down 67%. It touched its year high of 18 sen on Jan 15. Patimas has been loss-making over the last five financial years.
To recap, Patimas which is a PN17 company, failed to submit its regularisation plans within the required 12 months since its PN17 status. It slipped into PN17 after its auditors expressed a disclaimer of opinion regarding its financial statements for the period from Jan 1, 2011 to March 31, 2012. It had announced an audited net loss of RM86.5mil for that period.
It appointed UHY Advisory (KL) Sdn Bhd to conduct an investigative audit into Patimas’ financial affairs following a police report lodged by its former audit committee chairman over unresolved significant accounting, audit findings and queries raised by Ernst & Young.
On Oct 28, Patimas submitted an application for extension of time to submit its regularisation plan but this was rejected by Bursa.

bursa record is like this, if last day of trading can still hang above 3 sen with 10 million non stop buying coming out then good chance change to new name and re-listing again !! if last day of trading @0.5 or 1 sen non stop sellers coming out, then so far all these counters are DELISTED !!!
