Maybe insiders are selling because the Q1 results will not be as good as forecasted. Q1 = July, August and September. The accounts for September should be closed anytime now.

Hooi, I am blardy confused over your buy or sell at a few sen margin.
Looks like now you are looking at dividend yield? No more TA?

FBMKLCI may enter bear market next year. I sold 85% Icap & Padini. If you buy Padini at 2.00, 4% dividend yield is better than put cash in bank. A few sen margin is better than loss money

one can make a lot of money from padini if he invest (yeah invest, not trade) since years ago. This stock is a cracker. Making so times from your capital from trading icap? Congrats but hard to believe. Care to share with us?

Posted by Fat Cat Tim Buddy > 2012-10-10 17:36 | Report Abuse

maybe he means he start with 25k, but half way, he inject more capital in, invest more, now his portfolio is worth 850k

maybe he really use the 25k and turn into 850k, but the process surely take longer than 10 years.

just look at dlady, 5 years ago it is 10 per share, now it is 40 per share, if hooi use 25k and put all in dlady, his 25k at most only worth 100k.. so. . wtf, do your own math.

Why not possible ? You Jelly ?
Assuming he's investing over the pass 20 years, with 25k capital and 20% per annual, He might eventually hit 798,699 in 20 years times.

Not yet include the dividends weeee =)

ya ya ya, possible but not likely with padini or icap.......
you can hit this figure if you had invested in public bank many years ago and still holding to the stocks....

I exit all Padini average at 2.11. Successfully moved to other potential counters for long term.
But I will keep eye on Padini to tap back if reach my desired price.

Start buying and trading Padini and icap in 1997 with 25000, inject 100000 in 2009, now portfolio worth 850000. Incredible, fantastic, congratulation. Your compounded annual return is 24%.

assume the reasonable return is 10% to 15% per year.

too small the capital may not good for average up or down

How much capital does one need to make a reasonably return from share market ?

What is the percentage should one whack in a single counter to make a reasonable return for the portfolio ?

anyone ?
