rchi Malaysia has become a funny place.A pm without a majority where even a blind can see the fact could still claim he indeed command a majority.A stock that dropped from 12.00 to 3.00 surely will have some smart alex claiming they know it is one of the best in bursa and will still be in future.

MoneyMakers In an August 6 research note, RHB’s Singapore research team says Riverstone’s 1HFY2021 results were in line with their estimates.

“However, we believe ASPs have peaked in 1QFY2021 due to rising competition from the new supply of gloves in the market,” the team explains.
07/08/2021 3:06 PM

MM there's always a possibility of a 2nd ASP peak ahead if the crisis situation changed substantially which triggers it.

U ppl must think out of the box. Think of wider possibilities. Listen to the experts' opinions and have more critical thinking rather than blindly follow the views of the deep pockets who of course determine the course of the share prices, but just maybe reality has come to a real turning point in the crisis, which even deep pockets have to acknowledge and kow tow to, ie the high possibility of the emergence of a supervirus as predicted by Fauci, one that will evade all current vaccines.

MoneyMakers Fact is UK/US/EU covid hosp nowhere near Jan peaks

UK cases alrdy dropping past 2 weeks around 20K-30K level (even tho ‘experts’ said will go up to 200K daily after reopening) / hosp starting to drop also

US cases should peak nxt few weeks (1 month lag behind UK)
07/08/2021 3:16 PM

This is the warning from Fauci:
“we’re looking to some pain and suffering in the future because we’re seeing the cases go up,”
Fauci told McClatchy D.C. on Wednesday, the virus will keep spreading through the fall and winter — giving it “ample chance” to develop another, worse variant. So long as a virus can spread, it can mutate and create more dangerous variants. And while the Covid vaccines in use appear to work well against current variants, “there could be a variant that’s lingering out there that can push aside delta,” Fauci told McClatchy. “Remember, just a couple of months ago, we were having about 10,000 cases a day,” Fauci told McClatchy. “I think you’re likely going to wind up somewhere between 100,000 and 200,000 cases.” The average is currently higher than the peak last summer, before vaccines were authorized and in use.

There is a possibility that Malaysia will do an economy stimulus by printing money like what US did. Our exchange rate will drop to 4.5 or even higher . US dollars had already dropped relative to other currencies . Commodities prices quoted in.US dollars were already up substantially. The post pandemic prices will never go back to pre pandemic. It will be 40 to 60 % higher or US 30 to 35 per k pcs as projected by MAARGMA and the 2 biggest glove makers Topglove and Harta . Please read my analysis using US 30 as post pandemic ASP.

MM actually the paradigm is alrdy slowly shifting away from the idea that current vaccines is able to end it all. Even Fauci is now doubting that. From what he said recently, he is expecting a worse case scenario is coming. Experts are saying you need >90% vaccination to achieve herd immunity. Even for UK, experts dare not say its game over for Covid. Some are saying it's still early days, and maybe the worst is yet to come. My view is that this fall and winter will see Covid rear its ugliest head for this pandemic.

https://www.npr.org/sections/coronavirus-live-updates/2021/08/07/1025753258/the-u-s-is-now-averaging-100-000-new-covid-19-infections-a-day

It took the U.S. about nine months to cross the 100,000 average case number in November before peaking at about 250,000 in early January. Cases bottomed out in June but took about six weeks to go back above 100,000, despite a vaccine that has been given to more than 70% of the adult population.

The seven-day average for daily new deaths also increased, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. It rose over the past two weeks from about 270 deaths per day to nearly 500 a day as of Friday.

Our models show that if we don't (vaccinate people), we could be up to several hundred thousand cases a day, similar to our surge in early January," Centers for Disease Control and Prevention director Rochelle Walensky said on CNN this week.

The number of Americans hospitalized with the virus has also skyrocketed and it has gotten so bad that many hospitals are scrambling to find beds for patients in far-off locations. "The health care system right now is nearly at a breaking point. ... For the next three weeks or so, I see no relief on what's happening in emergency departments," Persse said Thursday.

Too focus on Europe and US. Nobody realized Japan is facing an outbreak and hitting daily record since last year. Japan is a country with huge population as well and will spend on PPE to manage the pandemic.

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-08-08/could-indonesias-outbreak-give-rise-to-a-new-variant-covid19/100343554

Experts fear Indonesia, considered one of the world's COVID-19 epi-centres, is now a high-risk "hotspot" for the emergence of a new coronavirus "super strain".An alarming second wave in the country has been largely fueled by the highly infectious Delta variant, which was first identified in India's out-of-control outbreak.

And now experts are worried that a similar situation could occur in Indonesia, where the rampant spread of the virus may create the perfect breeding ground for another variant of concern.
As a second wave of the coronavirus has swept through Indonesia's densely populated Java island and Bali in recent months, the hospital system buckled under the pressure of an influx of cases.

The result has been a tragic loss of life, with the death toll in Indonesia surpassing 100,000 since the pandemic began. A staggering 40 per cent of them have been in the past five weeks alone.
Epidemiologist Dr Budiman says the high positivity rate in Indonesia, or the percentage of people testing positive to COVID-19, as well as the uncontrolled nature of the pandemic, are signs that a new "super strain" could emerge in Indonesia. "It's only a matter of time," Mr Budiman, who also advises the Indonesian government on its pandemic strategy, said.

Professor Katzourakis agrees that it's "right to pick out Indonesia as a possible hotspot" and says it is "completely reasonable" to expect more virulent variants to arise over the coming year.

"If a new virulent strain arises in Indonesia, or arrives in Indonesia, it could challenge Delta," he said. According to the CSIRO's COVID-19 Project Leader Professor Seshadri Vasan, at least one more variant of concern will be declared before the end of 2021, "and it could emerge anywhere".

The "worst-case scenario", in Dr Dr bac's view, would be if a vaccine-resistant variant were to take hold.

"That doesn't mean 100 per cent vaccine resistant, but one that is able to bypass vaccines or immune protection much more than Delta.

"If that were the case, all of the vaccinated people who are relatively protected against other variants, would then be vulnerable hosts to a new variant."
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Experts now believe that a "super strain" variant has developed in Indonesia and that's why Covid is out of control there. Indonesia is now considered the "hotspot" for such more virulent variant.

Indonesians tend to be highly communal people, a bit like south Asians, they naturally prefer to live & socially interact in very large groups

they're not like Westero types who are highly individualistic & can cope better with living lone solitary lives

@Citadel9999 ???? so????? share price up or down???
08/08/2021 1:41 PM

Let's not just tok about individual share price, that is the side effect of real life events. When you read that many medical experts are so sure that that a supervirus that can fully evade current vaccines will be emerging sooner than later, that is a sign of warning. When that happens then even all those fully vaccinated will become vulnerable. Then only those with new variant updated booster jabs will be safe. That will create new global uncertainties, likely leading to the collapse of many recovery stocks and turning most healthcare stocks including glove into safe haven.
