With both Harta and Kossan reported better and record profits last QR due to higher shipments and ASPs ( Harta 13 % higher and Kossan 7 % higher, we can expect Supermx to deliver more than 1 b profits. With the 1 b profit , supermx FY2021 is about 4 b which.is about 147 s eps. With the current price of 3.09, the EY or Earning yield is 48 % 。Harta and Topglove has a 60 % and 50 % dividend policies respectively. Assuming supermx has a 40% Dividend policy, the DY will be 48x 0.4 = 19.2 % . This is way above the 2 % FD yield and the 3.3 % borrowing cost. I will be using my overdraft to top up more supermx shares if shorties sell below 3.00.

USA daily covid cases surpassed 200k and the hospitalization rate also highest since 6 months due to Delta variant, despite the vaccination im expecting it will be worst than last year just like Malaysia. Especially when many americans are still hesitant to take the vaccines and the virus will keep mutating to be deadlier.

17.2 % which is still higher than the current EY of the 8 popular non glove stocks listed above . In my opinion , Supermx is the most undervalued stock in the whole of KLSE .

Despite the expected moderation, Bank Islam Malaysia Bhd economist Adam Mohamed Rahim said the surge in cases involving the Delta variant would help cushion the drop in ASPs and keep the demand elevated for the short-to medium-term.

“The Malaysian Rubber Glove Manufacturers Association has projected global demand for gloves will hit 500 billion pieces this year,

compared to an estimated supply of 420 billion pieces. In short, demand for products of local rubber glovemakers remains strong as Malaysia accounts for about 68% of the global glove supply.

“A declining trend in ASP could be mitigated by higher order volumes for gloves,” he told The Malaysian Reserve (TMR) recently.

China’s growing supply of gloves for the global market is putting pressure on the ASPs especially when its supply helps narrow the gap with demand, he said.

China now contributes 10% of the global glove supply.

Despite the competition, Rakuten Trade Research VP Thong Pak Leng said Malaysian producers’ experience as the biggest supplier of gloves globally gives them a competitive edge over Chinese producers.

The research and development investments by local industry players to enhance the quality and performance of gloves play a key role in ensuring Malaysian glovemakers remain ahead of the curve globally.

“Our technology is far ahead of China. It will take time for them to catch us.

“Furthermore, our climate is more ideal for the glove making industry. For example, the hot weather with no drastic change between day and night helps maintain the quality of raw materials,” Thong told TMR.

On the labour scrutiny faced by local glovemakers, he said Malaysian companies are constantly improving their environmental, social and governance practices to maintain their sustainability.

These efforts and their implementation would eventually lead to the lifting of an import ban by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on companies like Top Glove Corp Bhd.

“The US cannot ban it forever because if this goes on longer, there will be a shortage of gloves in the US,” he said

US currently see the number of ppl being down with covid in the age of 20s , 30s and 40s and they are suffering from stroke, blood clot and heart attack. All these health issues need gloves

Vaccination is progressing too and they need gloves too .

Yup pjseow, I couldn't agree more with you. Supermax is the most undervalued stock in the whole of KLSE. That's why I m here. And that's why so many shortist's and sharks' goons are here day and night fearmongering. Shortists really thought pandemic will be over by now, after the vaccines were rolled out. So they have alrdy pressed Supermax to PE2 or ard 2X cash in hand value. But in reality, things are more complicated and not so predictable. But one thing is for sure, gloves are still in high demand more than ever. Now with more developing and 3rd World countries increasing their glove consumption due to Delta. The structural change to the global glove consumption is likely more substantial than previously predicted, due to the many new variants. When later Covid becomes endemic, the glove consumption will remain elevated for sometime. On top of, many countries around the world have been building up back logs cases of non-Covid cases. UK alone has more than 13 mil back log cases, which will take years to clear.
So the question is how much more can they press further? With every passing qtr, Supermax cash in hand continue to grow. And if shortist continue to press down, its a matter of time before the cash in hand > market cap ! If this happens its probably unprecedented in the history of KLSE or even the bourses of the entire world. Think about it, cash in hand > market cap. Can that happen? As we can see, the support is alrdy building up at ard 3.0.
I think Harta was "punished" bcos although the profit was fantastic, they did not declare a fresh round of cash dividend for 1Q22, but instead fall back on the special dividend of end FY21. By right Harta should hv declared a fresh cash dividend for 1Q22 itself. That would have gave a boost to the glove prices all round. Anyhow, Supermax is at the end FY21, with a super record earning. Rightly, it should declare a fantastic cash dividend + special dividend. Like u say , ard 40% of the total FY21 earning, just below Harta. Assume coming QR PAT = 1b . then total EPS = 146sen @ 40% = 58.4sen - less previous dividend = 18.6 sen. I would be happy with that.

Ambulances are being forced to wait outside of Florida hospitals until beds free up for COVID-19 patients as number of hospitalizations triple in the last three weeks.

COVID-19 patients in Florida are waiting in ambulances for around an hour before they can be admitted into the hospital for treatment.

Hospitals are operating near capacity as the state has suffered from a massive swell of COVID-19 related hospitalizations.

Cases in the state have risen at least eight-fold over the past month in the state of Florida, from around 3,000 a day to 26,000 a day.

COVID-19 cases among children rose 31% in the US, with nearly 94,000 testing positive in the last week - but fewer than 0.01% have died since the start of the pandemic.

Nearly 94,000 American children tested positive for COVID-19 last week, up 31% from the nearly 72,000 the previous week.

For the week ending August 5, youngsters made up 15% of all cases in the U.S.

Two ERs in Texas have SHUT DOWN and staff moved to other hospitals to deal with surge in COVID patients: State sees cases rise by 116% in last two weeks.

Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Texas, closed its Commerce location to bring staff to main campus to help with a Covid surge.

Texas Health Hospital in Rockwall did the same, as both central Texas hospitals are overwhelmed by the virus.

Both hospitals built outdoor tents to increase capacity of COVID-19 patients that could be treated.

New cases have grown in Texas by 116% from 522 new cases a day on average to 14,149
