产量过剩宁“益”街坊 1.8万玉蜀黍免费派送
（怡保18日迅）本地玉蜀黍产量过剩，面对价格大跌及行情滞销的窘境，本地收购商抛赠1万8000条新鲜的珍珠玉蜀黍“益”街坊，分两轮约3个多小时派完，乐得街坊笑嘻嘻。
玉蜀黍多年来采用定价收购方式，目的让农民收入稳定，却吸引众多农民加入种植玉蜀黍行列，导致市场供过于求，农民被迫面对销路受阻的考验。
珠宝拱桥的玉蜀黍农夫兼收购商张德常今日运载120包，每包150条当地种植的珍珠玉蜀黍，到怡保大华戏院旧址，即奥林匹克学院前大赠送，免费送给公众享用。
平时送福利机构或亲友
张德常说，玉蜀黍产量过剩不是近期才出现的情况，平时过剩时，他也会送给福利机构或亲友，今次首次登报公开派发，希望公众尝到本季的玉蜀黍品质好，能主动到江沙路采购。
他说，公开免费玉蜀黍领取活动在怡保是头一回举行，吸引众多公众响应，前来领取玉蜀黍的公众不分老幼种族，大多为华裔年长者，有意再购买者可与他联系（012-5885282）。
公众担心空手回 场面一度失控
虽活动原订在中午12时，不过却临时提前在上午9时许开始，许多途经的路人列队领走早一批玉蜀黍，专程前来领取者见玉蜀黍快被领完，纷纷上前争抢场面一度失控。
第一轮的60包玉蜀黍约在上午11时30分取光，许多公众姗姗来迟不见玉蜀黍踪影，所幸在义工的协助下，再次排列出新的队伍等候，直到第二轮约12时40分送抵，约2时也派完。
行动不便获优先权———残疾人士（65岁）●吴运生
平时常买玉蜀黍来烹调食用，从报纸看到免费派玉蜀黍，就过来拿一些带回家与家人分享。
派玉蜀黍的工作人员非常友善，看见我行动不便，特别给我优先权。

Next week at least RM2.00. Next next week and so on will hit RM3.00. Poultry business back on track. Wheat and corn price keep dropping. Bright future and growing business as malaysia population keep increasing. I'm pretty sure bonus issue is on the way because company keep buy back shares on the market.

I'm very confident on PW after I read the quarterly result on Layhong & Teoseng. Layhong's result was low due to opening of two additional outlets in the current quarter.
