Yes, Gooshen, as always you are always right. Penta is a good stock/ share. Selling above 4.7 is way too cheap too. Best is if you have the holding power, dont sell. Keep it as Penta is a strong growing stock.

Look at KNM today, KNM also a syariah non compliance, and this morning due to panic selling it drop to 0.345, and now KNM is back to 0.37.

Penta is much a stronger growth stock than KNM, and Penta will be soon 5.
Trust yourself. And if you drive around Penta factory in Penang, you will see that Penta is busy adding new extensions factory to get more productions space in its factory.

In other words, there are more productions lines will be added on, upon the completion of the extensions of production floor space of Penta.

Cheers Penta. Today is a good bargain price to get/top up Penta

How should I treat securities that have been reclassified as Shariah non-compliant?
For securities that have lost their Shariah compliant status, investors must liquidate them promptly. Any capital gain arising from the disposal of these Shariah non-compliant securities made at the time of the change-in-Shariah-status announcement can be kept by the investors.

Can the disposal of Shariah non-compliant securities be done after the announcement day?
For disposal after the announcement day, any excess capital gain derived from market price higher than the closing price on the announcement day should be donated to charitable bodies.

Nonetheless, investors are allowed to hold their investment in the Shariah non-compliant securities if the market price of the said securities is below the original investment costs. It is also permissible to keep the dividends received during the holding period. Once the total amount of dividends received and the market value of the Shariah non-compliant securities is equal to the original investment costs, investors are advised to dispose of their holdings.

Shariah funds are required to donate any capital gains made to Islamic charities (NOT any charities) if they sell a stock which is reclassified as non shariah compliant after today as the next two days are weekend. However, the revised list is only published after office hours yesterday !!

Like the US did to Turkey before, Trump threatened Turkey lately and US got the means to harm their economy if the border dispute between Syria and Turkey have turned sour... The currency of Turkey had a nosedive and Turkey had better behave properly.

The effect of selling massively your shares/currency can harm...and if currency, US can influence other countries or markets to refuse your currency, you are dead.

Not bad lah at RM4.48 now.

What is there to worry about non shariah compliance?? Even big companies like Allianz, AMMB and Hong Leong Bank are non shariah compliance.

Actually is the Islamic Fund disposing this counter ad it’s no longer Shariah Compliant is what we worry about and it’s driving down the price. The million dollar question is have they disposed off all their position, most likely no, meaning it will continue to sustain selling pressure and the price will go down if no one buy or support it. We shall see.

All Shariah funds should have sold all their PENTA shares today. If they didn't, any capital gain they gain from selling PENTA from Monday onwards need to be donated to ISLAMIC charities.
Total traded volumes is 137m shares. PENTA has a total of 475m shares. Assume 50% are SELL,
137m *50% = 68.5m which is 14% of total PENTA shares!!
This is obvious a strong force selling because of Shariah rules.
Fortunately, the non Shariah compliant people are still able to support the extreme forced SELLING. The revised Shariah compliant list was only know last night and there is no reasonable disposal period like a few months.
I think this is one of the strong chase away signals to Foreign fund managers.
