Mr. Lim H.S. was appointed as MD on Jan.2015, almost 3 years ago, so if he said he would take 7 years, then he has 4 more years to achieve his target, that is, by Dec. 2021...

Nestlé quarter report out. Both domestic and oversea sales increase. It should give positive impact to Tomypak.
Again increase of raw material cost will impact profit margin of Tomypak too.

@Qintian,

"For the third quarter ended 30 September 2017, the Group increased its revenue by 4.8% from RM1.26 billion to RM1.32 billion (+RM60 million) compared to Q3 2016. The good growth momentum was well supported by domestic and exports sales which grew by 4.2% and 6.8% respectively. Effective marketing and trade activities held by the Business on selected product categories helped to deliver the desired growth for domestic sales. Whilst strong export performance have benefited from the good growth registered by the Nestlé affiliated companies especially in the Asean region."

Hope it helps.

At current situation, I think except Oil & Gas related company, else most of other fields will affect by increase of raw material costs :(
I'm happy and satisfy as long as improvement of revenue :)
Other factors will adjust/improve once market absorb it.

i have a friend working in Hershey's JB... production is only 20-30% of their plant capacity, very weak, but i am not too sure if their packaging is done by Tomypak or not.

Thanks, Qintian. Good info sharing. Share price of other plastic related company drop quite a lot recently. Not sure is due to poor QR or bad profit margin (increase of raw material cost). Mr Tan has mentioned Phase 1 capacity has been fully taken by existing and new customers. Hope it is truth and prove by improvement of upcoming QR's revenue.

Nestle and Ajinomoto are two main customers of Tomypak. Let see Ajinomoto upcoming QR which might give us some "hints" about Tomypak QR. Anyway I plan to hold Tomypak for long term investment :)

@hero666, I have read the article earlier. Basically it wanna highlight that 15 packaging stock contribute revenue around 6 billion per year while market cap is 8.4 billion.

Based on raw material, we can diverse it into plastic related (rely on crude oil price) and non-plastic related (rely on paper, gold, glass price). Both have different sales market.

The table is the summary of 15 packaging stock performance up-to-date (Jan 17 to Oct 17)
It got highlight annual return, PE, profit margin, Z-score, etc.

For plastic-related stock,
SCIENTX is at reasonable price now while Tguan is under reasonable price.

For non-plastic related stock (paper packaging, etc),
ORNA and PPHB have low PE and consider under-value now.

Hope it helps.

@investgo, chart showing parabolic reversed, if wanna collect better wait it breakthrough and collect at 0.99 or lower, unless today close higher 1.03 with high vol, else you had plenty chances ahead to collect lower than 1.01

I dun expect a good coming quarter result as the raw material price had increased by double digit in the past few month. It need time to transfer the cost to their client. Long term this is still a good company with plenty of future growth potential.

pc_FA

Posted by pc_FA > 2017-11-16 16:41 | Report Abuse

@hero666,
Below is my expectation for 2017Q3:
1. Revenue around 70 - 75 million;
2. PAT around 4.7 - 5.2 million (after consideration of raw material increase and ESOS expense);
3. EPS around 1.1-1.2 sen;
4. Dividend around 1 sen;

My main concern is the Revenue at this QR.

"Daibochi Malaysia notched 10.1% higher revenue to RM95.58 million from RM86.84 million in the
preceding quarter mainly attributed to stronger demand from the local market after the Hari Raya
