This dishonest mystery guy try to make investors wonder about the company and to put fear into those hold the stock either short or long term. Next, high volume sell takes place to drive the company's share price down.
On a daily basis, this guy use computerized trading to control the direction of the share price. At opportune times, he overwhelm the buyers by selling large number of shares to drive the share price down and to eliminate the buyers at that given time.
He need to control the stock's share price over a long time, because can't afford to just accumulate huge stock at 1 time only as this will shot up the price, so he have to be buying shares at the same time also selling shares too. When he places both buy and sell orders at about the same price, the increase in activity is intended to attract investors. When he drive the share price down, eliminating buyers as discussed above, some of those investors trying to sell their shares at that same time will follow the share price activity downward, opportunity to collect slowly.
This mystery guy greatest fear is that people will figure out their lies to soon, and the share price will rise up to quickly as more and more people figure out about this scheme.
