Overall, the Group recorded a higher profit before tax (PBT) of RM37.55 million as compared to the previous quarter PBT of RM16.40 million. This amount is inclusive of subsidies received from the government offset by share based payment expense in this quarter Q4 2024.
It seems like LayHong still continue received subsidies in this Quarter. If without subsidies, not sure Layhong still can be profitable or not.
Dato Yap have 270mil share. Assume everyday throw 200k to public, 1 month 20 working day - 4 mil share, 1 year can throw 48mil share to you. Then later announce 10% ESOS, his share will go back to 270mil again, then throw to you again next year. We Ikan bilis hard to fight with the big crocodile
Anyone can clarify the negative response of Lay Hong's stock price towards gomen announcement of reduction by 3 sen per egg immediately which was mitigated by the giving of gomen subsidy of 10 sen per egg? I believe many investors in Lay Hong thought the subsidy is a gift that will give rise to higher stock price but it had instead caused the opposite effect.
Thanks for your input, Multiever. Perhaps speculators were spooked by the 3 sen reduction in each egg without realising the bonanza of 10 sen subsidy for each egg. The media will have to explain the ramifications for eggs companies to retail investors so they will become steady pom pipi as to taking desperate actions instinctively. As I see it, Lay Hong is an investment grade listed company with bright future prospects; and its PER is only 3+ only. Surely most if not all stock participants understand that low single digit PER is mostly a metric that spells VALUE? As it is, now is the opportune time for value investor with fundamental mindset to put their capital to good use, which is to invest in Lay Hong when its stock price had fallen to attractive level. Remember that Lay Hong's stocks are selling at cheap PER, its also a well run enterprise that had in two consercutive earned praise worthy profits. What more can value investors want?
Anyway, saw an article in Nanyang with the title stating that the outlook is bright for eggs producing listed companies. Hope other media will come forward to dispell the insipid idea that the sky is falling down on eggs producing companies following mandatory reduction of each egg price down 3 sen. They still gain 7 sen after marking down 3 sen for each egg. Hope other newspapers especially The Edge will do a write up to educate the investing public.
I saw Mydin boss saying its not usefull to provide subsidy for eggs producers as they are doing well. He stated his opinion that lowering the price of an egg by 3 sen is not helpful since there is a shortage of eggs. He said he ordered so much eggs and were supplied with only a portion of his orders.
Mydin boss did not realise this is where the effect of the 7 sen (10 sen - 3 sen) extra margin for eggs producers kicks in.
For capitalism or free enterprise works better when there is sufficient incentive. Eggs companies on seeing 7 extra sen profits will do their best to boost eggs production that will overcome the problem of eggs shortages. Eggs being the cheapest protein which are consumed by all races and is therefore a fundamental staple food.
Thus gomen 10 sen subsidy for eggs not only will keep prices of eggs under control but will motivates eggs producers to ramp up their productions so as to fill the needs of market.
Now is a good opportunity to invest in Lay Hong as it has strong support at 0.385. Those already invested and still have capital might want to buy more as the more the merrier when Lay Hong's stock in due time climbs up again.
Investors should learn from past lessons not to chase hot stocks that had risen sharply like data centre related stocks. How many times retail investors must suffer losses by chasing business they do not understand and often diregarding valuations of the stocks?
Then when such stocks fell, they forgot why the stocks were bought and panic and fear caused them to sell at a losses. Multiply this scenerio several times and investors would have lost substiantial part of their capital... therefore be aware of what you are doing in the stock market. Be a value investor and not a flighty speculators in order to win in the game of investing. The truth is that investors mindsets and themselves are the keys to success or failures.
Why Layhong keeps issuing ESOS for 4 consecutive months (around 14 milliom shares already)? Some more at 27 sen only. This is not fair for its shareholders that have to buy at market price.
sold all remaining layhong at 0.400 (cut loss, 19 july 2024), fed up with the non stop esos issuing and insiders disposing, stock price is going no where due to these. many other better stocks to park my cash
the most hailat in I3 . mr pang working for syndicate... many time this guy come hoha and talk good about a share, the next few days he will disappear from that forum after the share went down.
Telur can not help you because is controlled by government.. Government is controlled by rakyat.. Rakyat is controlled by money So, rakyat poor = telur cheap...
From pang72 comments, I gather that the inverse will actually happen. Either he skipped too much school that explains his excellent analytical skills or the more logical one, is that he is purposely asking ppl to sell down to benefit in some way.
