hahaha.. i hold nothing on Focus lumber i thought to buy follow by the 'advice' by chickmonk. hahaha but i did on research by my own.. it is so misleading..
The 'prospects for remaining period of current year' section has an unusually downbeat tone (Usually companies like to at least add the word OPTIMISTIC somewhere lol).Very odd given company has been reasonably active in buying back shares during current quarter
the company's balance sheet is so clean. Also note that their Cash Flow Statement during this 'MCO' quarter was pretty good. See if they can return to profit , for q ending September.
Annual report 2019 Our revenues and financial results are primarily dependent on the demand and selling prices of our products. The demand and the price of plywood could be volatile and is subject to factors such as global economic conditions, the global demand including that of the US RV industry
1. i think the demand of plywood for US RV is increase. 2. MCO period, most of the industry sure -ve result. Except those healthcare or essential industry.

The current poor result for Focus Lumber 2nd qtr june is mainly due to MCO lockdown as the company only operate 1 month out of 3 months.
The company cited improvement in its selling price, but it did say its cost of raw material is also up.
Flb did not manage to take advantage of the improvement in selling price bcos of the lockdown & higher cost of raw materials & availability.
Going forward FLB has cited, it will make used of veneer to support its production of its plywood.
With high demand of RV and High Lumber prices, with almost complete relaxation of lockdown & source of raw materials almost solve for FLB, it is expected FLB will show outstanding performance in coming Q3.
I think one should start accumulation of this stock at around 90 sen bearing in mind its net cash is 80 sen per share & its treasury shareholding of more than 7% of its outstanding capital .
This Flb is expected to distribute its treasury share as dividend.
omg..moneylai? if u dont even know this kind of thing please dont go invest la.. sound so stupid. you know..dont act like very clever please but look action like idiots.
one of the reason lumber price was up, because of short of supply, which FLB contributed in part, for not being able to supply to the market where goods were needed the most. Q3, many suppliers will be coming online to take advantage of the higher price, but also will drive down unit price.
what my concerns more, is that company has so much cash in disposal and were trading shares(other equities in klse or elsewhere) in the past, as way of treasury management, instead of returning those cash. return seemed to be good in the past, my real concern is how FLB is doing with share trading/investments with so much cash in the past few months, hopefully didn't cash out their positions at low point and riding high with top glove etc. if indeed, this is main operation of the company, FLB should publish their equity investment positions like other fund managers.
