And then, as I sat up properly, I realised that the sounds were coming from just next door to me ... So, I put my ear up against the wall to hear better ... And I could now hear the chant words pretty clearly ...

It sounded something like, 'Ya ma ley ley; Jung hee ya ma ley ley; Ya ma ley ley; Jung hee ya ma ley ley; ...

So, I thought that it was maybe some Punjabi man, reciting some Sikh verses form his Sikh holy book ...

Anyway, I just told the hotel receptionist about what I had heard ... And she told me that my neighbour was not a Punjabi ... but ... a Japanese!!! ...
