the edge should ask sam why he sold over 6mil share recently? base on today closing price, he lost close to 500k can buy 100 iphone....and do a iphone lucky draw during agm for shareholders... anyway 500k to him just some pocket money...
Ya ‘tis CEO selling shares doesn’t instil confidence. If he is not selling, am sure share price would have revert back to 60 sens. So tis a bit disconcerting for investors like me
INCJ took up the private placement (EV to EBITDA of 12.5x based on FYE2016 of edotco) in 2017 @ USD400m , now, expecting at least USD500m for disposal. OCK's towerco EBITDA around RM80m.
Renewable energy and telco.. 2 forward looking solid business. New norm, online connection.. U need both to succeed. In Myanmar, Bangladesh and Thailand now they are even thinking of education overair or through cell networks as many areas still don't have fibre connectivity... I trust there would be more rollout of projects since O&G investments are slowing down. Renewable energy will lower their operating cost for each relay station, although diesel prices are now low and running gensets are also cheap in the interiors. Expect a sudden break out towards 60, 66, 75 and 78cnt (post announcement of a firm strategy for telco monitization) 85 sen is possible then too if the valuation is attractive.
+ low interest rates for refinancing and capital + best time to expand Renewable biz + sector in demand during Covid 19 outbreak + good network of assets + stable income stream with no risk of cash crunch
Perhaps good news from coming 1Q + good prospects for solar expansion + towerco tenancy. More importantly they are growing its recurring income above 50% (very crucial during economic slowdown), to have recurring and growing towerco rental and solar tariff. A research report said OCK is eyeing 20MW solar with 16 years remaining concession (more than double its existing size ownership of solar PV), if bought at reasonable price will add value to OCK besides its towerco biz.
2. How to determine the right valuation for OCK Group? [PART 2] - HumbledInvestor Author: HumbledInvestor Publish date: Wed, 6 May 2020, 2:05 PM Close In order to unlock the entire value of OCK Group, the Group MD Sam Ooi Chin Khoon (OCK) is planning for a spin-off listing of its tower business (towerco) on a foreign stock exchange by 2020
I notice a fundamental flaw lately in a research report using the diluted number of shares (after warrant conversion) of 1.135b shares without including RM187m of sales proceeds from the warrant conversion. TP will be 81 sen instead of 65 sen. (Analyst may be conservative, but should also be realistic, its like calculating a share price (ex-rights) including rights issue shares, but does not include the proceeds from rights issue)
Good comments and valid positive points to support the uptrend with facts. Today's article also highlights the increased maintenance contracts in Indonesia and their aim to expand other segments plus the focus on 5G rollout. Interestingly enough another counter hextar is also focused on iot using the 5g backbone for their plantations sector.
This is a large and big play for Indonesia and Malaysia being the world's largest palm oil plantation land banks in the world. The increased awareness for sustainable palm oil and tracing of the value chain could enable a special niche biz segment
1) OCK plans to acquire 1,100 towers in Vietnam in 2020, possible with new strategic partner (unlock of value toward end of Q2) 2) OCK forward for FYE2021 PE 15x vs peers of 25x, overall sector is positive despite pandemic 3) Implementation of NFCP RM21.6billion, OCK will benefit, despite temporary delay due to MCO 4) One of the report mentioned, almost 70% of revenue from recurring biz, that's good especially we are facing "recession" in a year or two.
Despite the negative outlook of the global markets, OCK remains optimistic of the telecommunication industry as a whole. OCK is positive of the implementation of the RM21.6 billion NFCP in Malaysia which is already benefitting OCK with a faily large Order pipeline.
Analyst mentioned strategic partner for towerco may come in post circuit breaker/MCO. So, re-rating in the next couple of weeks is possible. Hope they can unlock RM160m to RM220m.
Already, OCK has received some work for the NFCP, which “will contribute to the group as we complete the projects phase by phase”, says Ooi.
Communications and Multimedia Minister Datuk Saifuddin Abdullah said on March 13 that the NFCP will proceed as planned, and that 5G will likely be rolled out in the third quarter of the year.
