Attended AGM. Changing into developer from insurance business. Second quarter profit will be really good due to recognition of land sale in barat daya. Selling of insurance business will be completed soon. Dividend cancellation due to waiting for BNM new guideline coming out in July. With the investment income from barat daya, one off huge dividend payout looks very possible. ST lots of value.
Long term even bigger value. Land in bukit bintang(together with club de vegas land) humongous value. Coupled with land bank in johor, rawang, gombak and penang.......
@Wongkok - nope. but understandably they are at the last phase... plus they wanna get rid of it asap. with the regulation around finance companies, lots of regulations to abide by and will hinder their expansion as property player.. eg : delayed of proposed dividend..
@Wongkok- they cant put put much detail as it is ongoing court case. Wont lose anything because they are trying to get back things robbed from them KKteng- they are going into developing/ property.. Huge valuable land bank around.
They are selling Ampang Land + Hotel (BV at 73 mil) to Desmond Lim of Pavillion for 500 mil.. (The edge today) .. They will have cash in excess of 1 Bil.. from sale of insurance, barat daya and flamingo... something big is brewing.... Pretty sure handsome dividend is coming for ST...
dson88 , do you know any reason why this company keep disposing land and I think he try to sell his insurance portion as well right ? I guess he did sold land in Penang too right ?

MPHBCAP is another very undervalued stock like Insas and E&O Properties. Hang on to it.
