AAX is gone case. I feel Air Asia will experience massive sell out due to misinformation on debt restructuring which I believe very unlikely to come true due to massive 63 billions debt. Even before Covid already lost making. It's sad.

The stupid debtors trust and lend him 63 billions to buy aircraft to do a honest business, instead he quietly sold all the aircrafts and pay himself and his partners billions of special dividend, now he declared he has no money to salvage his company and tried to sack the staff by putting all the blame due to exceeded staffing, he is a hypocritic and pretend to be a humble boss...

He is one of the richest man in Asia and yet he is shameless, he should take responsibility of the failure to run the business and should sack himself and Kamaruddin instead of sacrifice his loyal staff for his management mistakes...

Most happy so far, management and bod for remuneration withdrew over the past years for delivering extremely poor results even not in covid era.
Most sorrow, LT minority SHs due to irrevocable capital loss.

This is not just AAX problem, this is an industry wide problem. In times of an economic crisis, only the fittest survive. But how fit was AAX pre-covid? Can't even make profit then and u expect them to make profit now even after restructuring? Just cut loss and run. Good luck!

Question is . Is this company solvent? if not then it should be delisted. What are Bursa / SC doing? More shareholders are going to get trap! They should be doing their job. In fact, I think all 3 airlines in Malaysia are insolvent & should be shut down immediately.

oh shit.. Kementerian Kewangan just clarified dont have such things. No loan planned at the moment to Air Asia.

Posted by WannabeTrader > 2020-10-13 14:37 | Report Abuse

Nikkei Asia reported that the RM1 billion loan will be provided by a group of local banks under a government loan guarantee scheme. The loan is expected to be issued next month. This government guarantee program aims to help local companies deal with the consequences of the new crown pneumonia epidemic. The report also quoted insiders from the Ministry of Finance and AirAsia saying that 80% of the above-mentioned loans will be guaranteed by the Ministry of Finance.

However, the above news only spread shortly, and the Ministry of Finance has immediately denied it. A spokesperson for the Ministry of Finance clarified in a brief statement that the ministry "has not approved any government loans or guarantees to any airlines."
