I believe Airbus will need to honor AAX request to cancel remaining order unless the company wants to loose an important customer. Another scenario would be deferment but AAX will reject due to cheaper planes lying around. Airbus can continue to focus on maintenance revenue.

TF now is trying to utilize his million customer data and to quickly develop an app allows to get Air Asia's customer from "Now everyone can fly" to "Now everyone can ride". And it will throw off free ride to all Air Asia customer upon launching when you download their AA app. Just open your tnG app (will be similar). Big Pay, Hotel, Flight, Ride, Food. AAX might merge with Malaysian Airlines for global flights. MAS also struggling so all options is open.

next, pitch this new potential to investors to raise private funds and issuing of new equities with share rights. 8 months down the road, AAX share price will go up to about 6.5 - 8 cents bringing gain close to 75%.

My target price:
Air Asia : RM0.55 (hold)
AAX: RM0.065 cents within 3 months after completion of debt restructuring. Profit = 60%.

AirAsia X to liquidate Indonesian ops amid woes
(Oct 17): AirAsia X Bhd is liquidating its Indonesian arm in a bid to survive the Covid-19 pandemic that has left the low-cost airline’s planes grounded since late March.
The long-haul arm of AirAsia Group Bhd has also written down its 49% stake in Thai AirAsia X, the airline’s deputy chairman Datuk Lim Kian Onn said in an interview with The Star newspaper.
These efforts come amid AirAsia X’s proposed restructuring plan to wipe out almost RM63.5 billion in debt and save it from a collapse. The proposal requires approval from investors and creditors.
Initial negotiations with creditors were tough as they were understandably upset, Lim said in the interview. They had asked for better terms, including free equity for forgiven debt — something that would be impossible for the airline to fulfil, he added.
Still, Lim said all of them genuinely want to find a common ground to take the airline forward. “No one has anything to gain from our demise,” he told the newspaper.
The airline is planning to resume flights in the first quarter (1Q), though the process remains “dynamic”, said Lim. Should the rescue plan be approved, the company will have to renegotiate every single contract and do its best to look after all stakeholders’ interests, he said.

Both AA & AAX in ICU; AAX at point of last breath. ICU also close off oxygen. The only way is allow oxygen; otherwise life likely terminated. Oxygen is government open tap for people to fly; let people freely fly where they want to go ie. tourism, other purposes, etc. as long as 3rd countries accept their entries. People can't fly means oxygen cut off.

Not many can fly after covid vaccines era at least till end 2021. Bankruptcy is the easiest alternative. If revive like mas, then just postpone the nightmare of investors.

Immigration should open border for people to fly. Just get travelers to sign undertaking that they pay hotel quarantines 14days.COVID19 won't spread when 14days strict quarantined imposed. It will prevent airlines and hotels go bankrupt. Only way to save airlines. Also save hotels. The Ministers, MOT, MOF, MOH & Tourism should talk to each other. This is part of economic revival.

No need cash injection, MOF or Perihatin Dana, etc. Waste of fund, the more you inject. Just open border 4 people to freely fly; a lot of people still want to fly. COVID19 risks low if all returnee compulsory quarantined 14 days at their own expense. Government no need pay hotel fees. Benefits are airlines saved & hotels revived. Why don't do it. Instead of everyone waiting to die.
