Pls be up to date. Read the disclosures. Sona already has full and complete sc approval where the 80 pct spending is completely addressed. Re the warrants, it has 2 years to go after QA so no need for management to exercise now and incur cost to finance the exercise price. They can just wait. Also they subject to moratorium anyway. Warrant won't move. In fact it may go up but remain at a discount to mother as did hibiscus. The play will be in the mother as any 20 pct can decline. Management have approx myr 210 million in shares and warrants at 55 cts. With this 'collateral' they have to convince market participants that the QA is worth voting for.
If SONA fail and instead redeem, you know how many months after last date do I get my 48.5 cts back ? Anyone speak to a lawyer or liquidator ? My broker tell me 6-9 months since need clearance for inland revenue. I dunno since I am small investor and not expert. Any ideas ?
actually the truth is most of the ppl who are in SPAC biz only want to enjoy 3 years of carefree spending, they are not really interested to have successful QA and do real work.
if i can, i would also want to open up my own SPAC, then use 10% of the money received from IPO for leasure & travelling for 3 years! Good life. Then let the SPAC fail, so I no need work. Then I do another SPAC a few years later, when all is forgotten.
In all honesty, no one really knows what pacific alliance and credit suisse are really doing. Note that they also own substantial shares in another SPAC that just announced they will fail. So credit suisse buying is not an indication of a successful QA. They could just be buying for yield. As for FX, they could very well be asset swapping into USD to eliminate currency risk. Buy at 46 now redeem in August 2016 plus 9 months liquidation is a very good yield to maturity in USD. Insha Allah for successful QA as I want Pak Hadi and Kak Maz to be rich.
LOL LOL LOL retailers always lose money due to insufficient research and info Hadi is no idiot, he is the future new billionaire in my crystall ball just wait and see the outcome, LOL
If we read the Bursa approval given to SONA, it is already approved the QA but advised the company that the purchase price is bit steep and ask them to negotiate.......but the approval still stands and the purchase price still acceptable if all the shareholders voted it.
I think i read the approval based on the above scenario. Anyone agreed on it?.....or i read and assuming the other ways.
Yes ktsk88. U are right. I dun see the owners selling any warrants nor shares yet. Pacific n credit suisse are still accumulating recently. So I will hold onto my shares, n warrants like crazy.
Again those sellers Pls sell so I can buy more. If I win I win I lose I lose.
I guess Credit Suiise/Pacific accumulating to have an upper hand in votingin case other retailers wish to voted against the Bursa approval.....based on low oil prices.
If the oil prices is trading at USD40++, i don't think Bursa will come out with that statement that the QA is overpriced.
For me, i look at it at the positive side since SONA can have 100% control of the oilfields and have extra monies to expanding the productions for years to come and tap into the funds immediatelt unlike Cliq or Hibiscus.
then u have a couple of funds inside, some guys, etiqa insurance etc inside who already ...i believe already made up of more than 50% of shareholders. look for page 85 in their 2014 annual report.
some may have sold. some may have bought we dun know..
all we know is credit suisse keeps buying n pacific buys a bit too. from above already 42% in total ....
again i dun think these funds ppl want to just earn 47cts per share of cash from dissolving sona. they are not stupid.
for investors with high risk tolerance, shud check out the warrants, the son is underpriced. I estimate the price is between 15 to 20 cts once QA is approved, UPSIDE 100%
If no QA, then is telur lar
but I am confident the QA will be approved and Hadi is the next B, we just ride on his success...
Sona have RM527 mil or USD125 mil, now they gonna purchase the QA for USD50 mil or 40% of the trust fund. So the balance 40% could be use to develop and expanding the current oilfields to increase the output barrels.
That could be 2nd stage but most important is to get the shareholders approval for the QA even at USD50 mil.
Anyone holding SONA shares, please voted the QA so that everyone benefits from oil price rebound..........whatever comes down will rebound back...............same as gold price that are rebounding strongly now to USD1230.00 from USD10xx.xx 2 months ago.
Yes everything explained in details.....so no issue for Bursa at the first place. Just let the shareholder to decide and voted the QA purchase and the rest is history. Sona become an oil producers .
jack2 for investors with high risk tolerance, shud check out the warrants, the son is underpriced. I estimate the price is between 15 to 20 cts once QA is approved, UPSIDE 100%

Yes I believe lots of cliq investors abandon cliq n buy Sona. Sona wa has more buyers than sellers today's volume is the highest I ever seen wow.
Those just want to earn 1 or 2cents by voting against qa..we Dun believe you would be that stupid..who doesn't want money.
Assuming u buy 1mil shares earning 1cent will only give u 10k. N I dun believe those buying 1mil just want to earn only a stupid 10k. Hence..u are lying n u may not even have any Sona shares..god bless your stupidity...amen
Again cowards n chickens pls go away. Sell to us Pls. Buy at your own risk thx
The game has started. First play the warrants to get market attention and interest. Then focus on the mother to ensure a successful QA. Volume shoudl remain high for this thesis to be valid. News flow also should be coming. Mother at 51 say means warrant at 16 cts as a minimum. Maybe a few cents more for speculative premium.
If coming down the months after qa approved n the asset start generating profits I wonder how much will the share price be? Especially if oil recovers this or next year. Remember their break-even is usd26 per barrel.
