Credit sussie hold 20% and other holder vote for no to gain short term profit, while many votes yes were unable to attend the AGM meeting, is it right ? Sona management is tdifficult to bypass from investor get consent ?
With oil prices moving higher and ringgit appreciating against the dollar, 10% ROI doesn't look very attractive now, does it? The pendulum will swing to the other extreme, as laws of nature govern. People who can come up with $2+ million in 3 days are not so dumb as to spend it on virtual toilet paper. They may as well spend it on other equally useless things such as a bentley mulsanne. This one gets a little dramatic but don't lose sleep over it.
Find a private equity that shares the Mgmt sentiment.
Offer 48sen now for each...max RM 300+M to buy out. Request extension on STAG S&P. Those that "nays" before will be tempted rather than wait for at least year end refund.
Announce new EGM, you will see some of the earlier "nay" will become "ayes"...
Why would anyone who has access to myr 300 mil buy an asset for 48 cts when immediately it becomes 38 cts or so, by virtue of the management block dilution ? I would just buy directly from SANTOS. The deal only works if the investor can create some hype and goreng the stock to say 60-70 cts and make money along the way. But again, why would you offer this free ride to managements more so these bunch of people ? Over 1100 stocks in bursa you can goreng. The maths only works if the management surrender their entire block of stock and warrants to the new shareholder for a token sum say myr 10-15 mil.
Still got 3 months time left, just wait for the management team to give out further announcements. Things do change from time till time, you will never know what happen until the end whether good or bad.
Suggest to wait for announcements, is completely safe for mother shares, just for the son holders, selling at 0.005 and get back tat few cash doesn't help much, is better to bet for the remaining 3 months time left.
Can someone confirm this. I heard Santos not agreeing to the extension of time to complete the purchase of STAG. If the above is true than Plan B fail and no way to continue doing anything.
Bro.....don't be angry with them (director) ...Dia sudah bagi LUI $$$ dulu , IPO time - many got jackpot @ rich edi.....Now blame yourself , none others . BANGGG your head to the coconut tree as a spicy lesson !! Nobody hold you at a gun point to buy SONA-WA >> your own choice....!!
All over the world , semua tahu , this is SPAC - SURE BOOOOOO CHOWWWWW CCCCCCCCCCCCCC.....!!
Bila investment menjadi semua director bagus, bila tak menjadi maki hamun director kenapa tak salahkan diri sendiri yg sifat tamak, tak layak dipanggil investor hanya layak dipanggil kaki judi saja.....
agree 200 % dengan itu ab 55.....SPAC market di US semua mati dahhhh.... if there is another SPAC IPO - NOBODY will buy !! SONA -WA RUNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN while you can ... but the buyer half sen become less & less TODAY most likely end up SONA-WA NO BUYER AT ALL ....beware !!
Everyone blaming yield investors. Who are these yield investors ? I blame management. You roll the dice and if you win you get gloriously rich, if you lose you have very minimal outlay. And you blame everyone else. If your STAG deal so great how come you can't convince anyone to buy SONA shares. Why before the EGM share price is below cash value ? The entire market has ZERO confidence in you and your deal. The mathematics very simple. All SPACS that share price below cash value will fail at EGM. Full stop.
it short of time...in their article association. .must be winding up after expired of time...
after the egm.... there are some people ask me wht a result? what a effect to wa? and bla..bla.. so I think in market... there are people just buy without know nothing...n tht why still have q 0.005 wa...unless big player / insider know something...... I still have a hope.... hope for u turn since oil price up..dont care mgt can get 20% stake free...most important do the best.
SONA should be given a chance to continue with an asset that holds promise. There are worse companies out there (non-SPAC) who leave much to be desired in terms of their assets and financial performance. The rights and interests of shareholders who supported the QA should also be considered, taking into account the fact that those who attended the EGM (i.e the non-proxies and not the yield investors) the support exceeded the 75% requirement for a YES .
The SC should do what is right in supporting the company to remain listed after the dissenters (~77%) have been paid, if SPACs as an alternative to tap into the capital market are to survive.
The structural issues with SPAC should be addressed by the SC to ensure that long term investors are seriously taken into consideration and that SPAC (now and in future) continue to see the light of day especially when the QA has been approved by the SC itself!
Kareemabduljabbar is right. Biggest blame is on Sona management, not yield investors. If Sona management truely really believe in Stag, they would have bought Sona shares from the open market (and not yet anybody like CS, PAG, etc to dictate the QA). Too late now.....if anybody want a 2nd chance, go look @ Reach. Sona is history!
How many people think Sona's STAG acquisition is a good deal? Not only Sona share price didn't go up, it actually came down closer to the egm. Don't blame yield investors
