whistlebower99 You should ask Mr Kuah, why he decided to raise RM172 million if he needs only RM20 million for the acquisition. Of course more free money from shareholders will be good for him to spend lavishly.

How much was wasted on the glove business ? Too much cash will make the directors complacent. And greed will make the money flow out easily.

BARE IN MIND, KANGER HAS DIVERSIFIED INTO SEVERAL BUSINESSES. OTHER BUSINESSES SUCH AS MANUFACTURING BAMBOO PRODUCT, TRADING IN BUILDING MATERIAL AND HEALTHCARE SUPPLIER CAN GIVE PROMPT RETURNS TO THE COMPANY.

THEREFORE, IT'S GOOD FOR KANGER TO BE MORE DIVERSIFIED.

Looks like Kanger is bailing out the company, maybe they are good friend.

Do a survey of the properties around the same area and assess whether it is worth buying at this price?

I suggest you to use your "kelapa/buluh" as your magic mirror to know and judge other people manner and intentions.Also to do an assessment on the project because Kanger don't have any good professional valuer to do the assessment.

Be realized that Mr. Kuah is going to be substantial shareholder in Kanger. He is the Executive Director. What will happen to Kanger's businesses should be calculated by the substantial shareholder, because it will affect his worth by virtue of his shares value that he hold.

I WANT TO SHARE WITH YOU MY SIMPLE THEORY:

But as I looked at certain companies before, after the company approved the RI and setup the issue price for RI, the share price firstly will drop.

But near the date of the RI to be executed, the price will be markup higher than the issue price of the RI.

These scenario surely not be absolutely will happen to Kanger, but it has high chance or probability to follow suit.

We have another 9 trading days left which are 2/9,3/9,6/9,7/9,8/9,9/9,10/9,13/9 and 14/9 before the last date to subscribe and pay for the right issue on 15/9.

There is enough time for the price to be cooked up. TAYOR

@whistlebower99 I think the main problem with you is you are not a real whistleblower (ok, you claim "bower"), you just blow everywhere before checking. For example, while it is true that the the whole Antara will be completed in 2026, but the block in which the 126 units Kanger is buying will be completed and hand over by 1st quarter of 2024.

To date, Kanger has paid 30% of total, with remaining 70% shall be paid in tranches.
The last payment RM 14,287,000 (10% of total) is when Kanger Ventures takes vacant possession of the units in First quarter of 2024.

Glad that my "guess" yesterday about price was largely correct!
Yesterday was between 4.5 and 6sens.....
Today is it unreasonable to expect going from 5 to 6.5sens?
......given the good projects in progress or in waiting. Happy trading and investing!

Why do you choose to leave out the last sentence of the paragraph you quoted from Page 17 of the Abridged Prospectus?

It is stated "the first quarter of 2024". I believe the readers here can see the difference this makes.
Section 5.4 says the Kanger takes vacant possession of the units at that time.

Waiting period for completion 3 to 4 years.
Risk of delay in completion due to shortage of workers, work interruption, etc
Risk of suspended project due to sluggish demand

Look at it objectively, it is a bad decision to pay RM142 mil for new properties under construction, only ready in 3, 4 years.

Can safely say that Jan 2021 was not the right time to invest in property. Many question marks ???
