Today’s traded volume is 3x of yesterday. Once again, trader mark up the price when trading is started (only 1500 shares used to markup the price) at the morning session. There is sustaining buy-in force to support the mark-up price. There is increase the traded volume indicate there is changed in interest among public toward this counter. Prominent price area is 1.78. This will serve as resistance and also support price for next few days.
The traded volume is 1.35 million, reduce compared to yesterday. The buyer was unable to overcome the resistance at price level 1.79~1.80. Yesterday successful mark-up augment the “reluctance to sell”, however, if buyer unable to make any progress, the “lack of interest” will kick-in and price will continue to slide downward. So far the emotion “lack of interest” haven’t kick in.
the traded volume is 0.62 million and 60% of it made during last minute. There is a selling queue at price 1.80 with 8000+ lot generate an intense psychological distress to retailer. I noticed during morning session there is significant "lack of interest" emotion kick in -> price swing near 3% and with traded volume just 840 lot. The mood turn out better at afternoon session maybe the price is more attractive, more volume traded. Just few minute before session ending, there is a high capacity holder (rich retailer or institutional investor) walk in and buy in 4000 lot...
I think price 1.78 is hold. And become support line for next few days. Today i fail to get this counter at 1.74...ai
Finally buying force break through the 8000lot “bad dog barrier” at 1.80. The traded volume increase near to 2 millions shares. The newest support level is 1.80.
The whole process look like (just my opinion)... Reluctance to sell phenomenon happened after a prolong lack of interest --> shake out retailer with weak holding power by press down price ---> mark up the price to lock retailer --> fail mark up --> press down price shake out weak power holder --> again mark-up price to lock remaining retailer --> successful mark up --> continue break a moderate resistance....
SEM had a strong "reluctant to sell" atmosphere at price level 1.68~1.74 UNLESS some big volume holder selling it, but this will cause a big crash because this counter is not attract many retail investor... it's forum is quiet, only me and you use it currently prove this.
why to mark-up the price? Once the price reach certain level/or form a certain trend pattern will attract trend investor/trader to join it, or luck is good, superimpose with some good market news, it may rocketing. This is the time for them to distribute share.
Buying force diminishes… again press down price to shake out weak holder. I think the cycle is repeat, and then trader will jack up the price to 3-5 cents in next cycle. Next week, trader may try to mark-up the price…
Yesterday a bit busy not able to comment on this stock. Today, the traded volume still not encouraging indicate the tug of war between reluctance to sell and lack of interest to buy. No change in major interest among investor despite current external news/factors. The resistance level still 1.78, and great support level is between 1.74-1.76. This a very narrow gap between a support and resistance level, only a big volume holder/ big buyer can change the stalemate. So far NO big player actively take part in this stock.
again, this is another VT stock that all analyst give fully valued at 1.20 prior to listing. it went straight up to 2.00??
why?
the analyst studied the past and make such conclusion, actually, to me, if looking at the past and knowing the inside picture, 50c also fully valued la.
but? they have more things instore for 7-11, as u can see now they have some jv with MOL on online payment etc. and the share price is running ahead of that.
After yesterday shake-out, the leftover is stubborn-type holder; the sense of reluctance to sell is INTENSE. Today traded volume is historical low in my records to this counter. The support price level still 1.74~1.76. In order to climb, this counter will need moderate trading volume.
PE of 32 and researcher /analyst still think it can go up further. May be they think earning that grow 25% per year can maintain as a straight line forever. One will get a better idea to look at growth rate of earning/profit per store year ( profit per store per year - a measure used by Retailer to measure performance) instead of absolute figure. But then buying counter like this is more goreng then investing so happy trading :-)
in growth stage, same store growth is not so important, the topline growth is much more important and easier to do when new store expansion has started to slowdown, it's time to rise same store sale
7-Eleven earnings double in Q3 Friday, 21 November 2014
KUALA LUMPUR: 7-Eleven Malaysia Holdings Bhd’s earnings surged 109% to RM17.12mil in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2014 from RM8.19mil a year ago, driven mainly by the sales growth and gross profit margin expansion.
Announcing its strong set of earnings on Friday, the convenience store operator reported other factors were growth in other operating income and lower administrative and other operating expenses.
7-Eleven’s revenue rose to RM487.28mil – an increase of 11.6% from RM436.37mil. Earnings per share were 1.39 sen compared with 0.78 sen.
“The growth in revenue was driven by the growth in new stores, improved merchandise mix and consumer promotion activity.
“Gross profit improved by RM17.9mil or 14.7% compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year and this was mainly attributed to the revenue growth of 11.7% and gross profit margin expansion of 0.8% points. Other operating income grew by 5.9% compared to the corresponding quarter in the previous year,” it said.
For the nine months, 7-Eleven’s earnings increased 34.2% to RM45.16mil from RM33.63mil. Profit before tax rose 31.6% or RM15.3mil mainly due to sales growth, gross profit margin expansion and growth in other operating income. It was partially offset by the increase in selling, distribution, administrative and other operating expenses in line with store expansion.
Revenue rose 12.9% to RM1.412bil from RM1.250bil driven by the growth in new stores (total stores as at Sept 30, 2014: 1,677 stores) and same store sales growth of 4.5%.
i been monitor this counter a long time, its basic traded volume is below 1 million shares /day, any more than that is probably caused by institutional buy and sell.
1.49 now, almost back to ipo price, undervalued stock...is time to collect. SEM is strong in earning growth for next year, gst sensitivity impact is very minimal for small biz like 7EM which selling convenient items.
Very impressive results with some interesting one time write-back.
something I learned from an old retailer:-
One of the biggest accounting problem for retailer is stock figures. Is the inventory figure provided for stock loss/pilferage ? If provision was made there are rooms for "adjustment - write back or increase the provision " but if no provision is made then before a stock count is carried out , the profit for the store/outlet are just book profit. Of course for company with so many stores, there will be rotation of stock count and how often the count are done may have impact on the stock pilferage figures.
There is quite a big jump in inventory against the increase in sales. Interesting. It seems no analyst had asked the question of % of pilferage and how often the stocks are physically count per store per year.
Price drop is due to foreign investors pulling its fund because of weakening Ringgit, not because of bad company's performance. This industry is relatively safe to invest in despite oil crisis or any financial crisis. Look at US 7-11, its trading at almost USD 35. Best time to collect now. And yes, TSVT will push up soon, we all know he's good in stocks all way long.
lol... why wanna buy overvalued bubble... this is crazy...have alr warn about this counter few months ago. dont gamble, house always win. all sharks have left the playground
You can check the company announcement, there is one big foreign holder who still hold near 80 million share, he sell his share each time when traded volume is more than 1 million/day. Genesis Investment Management --> dispose 300,000 (9/12/2014) //2,015,000 (10/12/2014) // 467,000 (15/12/2014) // 336,200 (4/12/2014) // 81,100 (3/12/2014) //178,800 (2/12/2014)
lower than IPO price... luckily not apply for it. VT share always come down very fast and go up very fast. pls down to RM 1.0. i will join you... cheers.
