Possibility of a special pay out { after 4th qtr 4 sen dividend } announcement coming out. Following BPlant land sale profit book in the P&L. Just my own opinion { not a buy call}
My concern is whether BPLANT is able to produce so high volume or not even though FCPO is at a high price. IMPOSSIBLE....How many future contracts were signed by BPLANT to produce the palm oil?
Hmmm?. At present yield, the impact to profit is exponential due to higher CPO price, literally every dollar increase in CPO, 92 sen goes to revenue and PBT (if export).
More soya and corn farmers in US and Europe will shift to planting wheat as wheat return is better especially farmers are facing shortage of fertilizer and glyphosate . There is no hope of getting more edible oil from next season. ????????- SINGAPORE/LONDON (March 2): The world's staple grains extended their blistering rally as Russia's war on Ukraine stifles shipments from some of the biggest suppliers.
Wheat futures rocketed past US$10 a bushel for the first time in more than a decade, and corn leapt to a nine-year high. Soybean oil also hit a record. That is giving fresh impetus to accelerating global food inflation, while the turmoil unleashed by Russia's invasion has the potential to dislocate markets for years to come.
The supply disruptions are likely to spill over into the next season, and potentially for even longer. Ukrainian farmers ? many engaged in the defence of their country ? appear unlikely to plant spring crops as usual, and Russia is facing sweeping penalties on its financial system. Plus, infrastructure is being damaged in the midst of the war.
Mr zhang is spot on his assessment. Multiple factors converging. Unlike manufacturing products agricultural production cannot be restarted. Its take a long time to plant the crops to maturity before harvesting. No short term fixed. Any shortfall in production can only addressed in 2 - 3 years { time frame} 2022 - 2023 is Year of commodities & energy.
"""" Wheat futures rocketed past US$10 a bushel for the first time in more than a decade, and corn leapt to a nine-year high. Soybean oil also hit a record. """ ..John. This WILL have a HUGE impact on Soya Bean for 2022. US would likely switch their fields to WHEAT due to HIGH demand in EUROPE. S.America having weather crisis. Since Soya is the next Cheapest alternative to CPO ....... CPO will hold up . Expect prices to firm in April till July 2022. Futures for CPO have NOT caught up yet for May 2022 / June 2022. Support seems to be there for May/June 2022.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
