KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 8): Based on corporate announcements and news flow today, companies in focus on Tuesday (Oct 9) may include: UEM Sunrise Bhd, T7 Global Bhd, Reach Energy Bhd, MMC Corp Bhd, Gamuda Bhd, Diversified Gateway Solutions, MCE Holdings Bhd and IHH Healthcare Bhd.

UEM Sunrise Bhd said its chief operating officer for development Datuk Roslan Ibrahim is relinquishing his role following his transfer to UEM Group Bhd.

Irving Oil confirmed a "major incident" at its refinery in St. John, New Brunswick, after residents reported an explosion at the facility, a critical source of fuel to the U.S. Northeast.The explosion reportedly rocked the neighborhood around the refinery, which is Canada's largest.The plant has the capacity to refine 320,000 barrels per day of gasoline, diesel heating oil, jet fuel and other petroleum products.

I have been on this thread since just prior to the acceptance of qualifying asset in Kaz...but I have not heard any meaning discussions on the investabilty or non-investabiltiy of Reach... All I see daily is mostly ....OH how I wannna put it into words..!

Yesterday announcement of successful drilling and discovery sizeable additional 2P reserves means Reach cost of production will even be lower once the new reserves is incorporated loh...!!

Thats means Reach beside can sell more at current good crude price, will also benefits from substantial reduction in production cost loh...!!

The well is expected to confirm the larger extent of the hydrocarbon resource being exploited in the Kariman structure.

"This exploration well will also augment the geological understanding of the prolific trend and support further exploration efforts," said Reach in a filing with Bursa Malaysia today.

According to Reach, the expected success of this exploration well would increase the group’s 2P (proved and probable) reserves by "a significant amount".

"One specific target is to confirm the maximum depth of the oil accumulation thus reducing uncertainty in resource calculations," it said.

The target total depth of the well is 3,937m. The total drilling duration is expected to be 120 days.

"Our advanced drilling programme will be undertaken by a mix of local and international reputable service providers such as Sinopec, AsiaPetroService, Drill-Lab Kazakhstan and KazPromGeofizika," said Reach.

Reach shares closed five sen or 10.53% lower at 42 sen today, giving it a market capitalisation of RM543.08 million.

correct also but now comes the question is when can drill and do current asset have capability to drill out or not?

if 2020 you drill out and oil back to below 60usd also no use..

so the most reliable earning forecast is by using the current capacity + efficiency improvement of the asset for next fiscal which i had calculated before and shared here.

hibiscs current 15k bpd and can increase another 10-20% using 2 asset.. price 1.20

reach last qtr 2.9k bpd gearing towards 3.9k end year price now 43c. if based on how investor value hibscs output vs reach, 40-50c is fair.

100 years oil reserves also no use if you cant drill them out or if you can but price drop below operating margin.
