same family with favipiravir. see the name behind. it's the same, means from same family of drugs. most antivirals are effective. including ivermectin. the reason they didn't use it because it's generic. any company can produce it and put their brand. less than 5 ringgit for 10 pills and u only need 5 pills. for example, paracil sold for 45 cents while panadol sold for rm4.5.
