So government of the day has to set aside RM70 bilion fuel subisdy! That's ridiculous!
The 2 years tax free for EVs certainly seeing some result! Almost all EVs allocated for Malaysia already sold out!
And very soon, Ora Cat, the cheapest EV offered, will be sold in Malaysia! I am sure it's going to be sold out in matter of days!
Basically, the small allocated EVs been offered already sold out for this year! Which is amazing to say the least!
However, going forward, government must go into 2nd gear! Push Perodua and Proton to introduce EVs of their own!
Give a dateline to them! Or else, Malaysia has to open up competitive wide!
BYD seems to be very clear winner in EV globally! BYD will be much bigger than Tesla going forward!
Question is, why is government so slow in negotating with BYD! Do PM Sabri want to see BYD open their manufacturing plant in Indonesia ahead of us!

Where is Malaysia EV roadmap! How come PM Sabri 100 ministers sleeping! We are subsidizing so many useless manpower in Putrajaya!

Thailand already ahead of us! Do you know Ora Cat is locally manufactured in Thailand! And they have some excess to export to Malaysia!
Give special tax free for Perodua and Proton and other EV producers! 10 years tax free! 10 years seems long but actually it's just right!

its more to do with major stakeholders in the car ,petrol service n mfg industry whether to push EV. They need time to reposition themselves so as to not damage their rice bowl. Basic EV is already selling in millions in China, nothing fancy looks more like the first Kancil is super economical and robust with minimal parts to go wrong. If this happens our poor rich petrol stations n petrol car mfg n supply chain will be badly affected. The gov is in bed with these cronies that keeps the gov in power so...let them playlah we pay

Lcwin! True! Too many cronies will go burn if government push for EV! That's the only reason! They don't care government of the day gets burn!
