Bought more BAT below $8.18 this morning to average down my long-term holding cost, which is now below the 1998 bottom. Almost $11k in dividend already paid for my patience & another nearly $1k coming this Nov!

Totally agree! With BAT diversifying into vapes and the market showing positive signs, I think we can expect solid results. If they keep churning out profits, especially with that dividend yield hovering around 8%, I'm all in. Can't wait to see how the next quarter shapes up!

I bought this BAT in 2020, have received its dividends for 4 years. For some rising a question of why BAT as largest seller of cigarettes didn't raise cigarettes selling price.. For the situation of past 2-3 years, it is much better to maintain selling price or reduce Rm 0.80 or Rm 1 per pack in order to fight illicit cigarettes in the black market. The government can reduce illicit cigarettes market share to below 45 or 48% will help to boost profit level of BAT in next 2-3 quarters. Vape market situations or how BAT perform in Vape market should be analysed by research houses covering this counter..

Reduce selling price? Meaning reduce sales and profit? Good for those who want cheaper BAT. I doubt you own BAT for 4 years.

BAT Vuse vape margin is low however Demand (illegal vuse) is very High among Gen Z---If Custom Dept keep

I still don’t understand the logic on this BAT share. Is grossly under value. Smoking will continue (vapes and cigarettes) despite all the hula noises…..Thus BAT will continue to pay about RM0.50 - RM0.80 per share annually. There are many counters that hardly declared dividends more than RM0.10 per share annually, but share prices are high. Take for instance Mr DIY which pay around RM0.03 annually per share , but share price at RM2… where as BAT at RM8 annual dividend about RM0.70 … where the logic. Moreover free float BAT shares limited.
