KUALA LUMPUR (July 3): MyEG Services Bhd (KL:MYEG) said it is teaming up with credit reporting agency Credit Bureau Malaysia Sdn Bhd (CBM) to offer a self-check service for individual credit reports.

This will be done by integrating CBM’s MySCoRE on the MyEG portal, said MyEG in a statement on Wednesday.

"Similar to MyEG’s existing service with CTOS, users can now easily obtain their MySCoRE credit reports through the MyEG portal," the company said.

It said the process, service, and fees associated with obtaining a credit score report from CBM via MyEG are identical to those offered directly through the CBM website with no extra charges.

Upon accessing MySCoRE credit reports, users can gain a detailed overview of their financial standing, including information such as their individual credit score, central credit reference information system (CCRIS) information, trade credit reference, litigation information and more, said MyEG.

Users, it said, can utilise this information to support loan applications, monitor credit health, plan finances, and secure better rental or job opportunities.

MyEG group managing director Wong Thean Soon said that by hosting CBM’s credit report/score services, the company is enhancing the options available to its users, making it easier for them to access vital financial/credit information to make informed decisions and plan effectively.

CBM chief executive officer Leong Weng Choong said: “Partnering with MyEG allows us to reach a broader audience and provide our trusted credit report/score
services through a highly reputable platform."

MyEG shares closed 2.5 sen or 2.5% higher at RM1.02 on Wednesday, bringing the company a market capitalisation of RM7.71 billion. Year to date, the stock has gained 28%.
