PETALING JAYA: Leading the Health Ministry is a “heavy responsibility” that he will be dedicated to, says Khairy Jamaluddin.

He added that he pledged to bear it with dedication and expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for appointing him as the Health Minister in the new Cabinet line-up.

The Rembau MP expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob for appointing him as the Health Minister in the new Cabinet line-up, saying in a a tweet on Friday (Aug 27) that “Insya-Allah (God willing), I will bear this very heavy responsibility in a dedicated manner for Keluarga Malaysia (the Malaysian family). Thank you to the Prime Minister for the trust that has been given to me".

Ismail Sabri earlier unveiled his new Cabinet line-up, with Khairy swapping portfolios with Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

In the previous Cabinet under former prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Khairy had been the Science, Technology and Innovation Minister while Adham was the Health Minister.
