the fuel adjustment will have a effect (rethink)on people whether they should changed their cars. just monitor the sale of new models (Proton Iriz) people fear this may not be the last of the increase. coming on before the GST implementation (electricity, water , rates hike on telco, loan interest etc )

very good write up. our police do not have the expertise (tracking) this malware hackers. the banks have to shoulder the blame for trying to cut down the use of manpower. the ATM are supposed to be monitor 24/7 by their IT unit. what happen ?

TA as a stand alone is losing ground to the bank back securities firm. trading has changed over the years. more and more people are switching to internet trading ( lower commission )
tony will want to exit TA and concentrate on his property (but at his own price) TA used to command a big chunk of the retail market but sadly alot of the big timers has switch to other firms.

inari is a good counter but market sentiment is not positive (after recent sell down) players may opt for lower liners and take profit on their profitable position. happy trading

the price weakness is temporary. even at < RM 2,000 efficient planters can still make a decent margin of 20%. what they predicted ( bank's stock recommendations target price ) is for you to buy (they are not using their own money) buyers beware

benalec like any other construction counters are affected by the recent sell down. most contra players and short term players are equally affected. only the blue chips are holding quite well ( eg CIMB )even if the quater's result is good the players may have cash out to take advantage of the sell down and lock in their profit. traditionally august-september is not a good month to trade ( there is always an exception) good luck

property value relies on location and demand. KL property generally is on the higher end. a lot of properties on the suburbs are mark up above the true market value. easy borrowing or easy credit is one of the factor we need to look into. property hype on high returns also contributed to the euphoria

prices may not reflex the actual net worth of the company. the company
may be great ( rich in assets valuations ) but the controlling shareholders are deem too conservative or the free float is limited )
the price may not moved and you need to hold on to this type of counter for a long time. there is no right or wrong in any style of investing ( as long trade you trade within your means )
the mega bank merger between CIMB-RHB- MBSB is a good case studies. with a bigger balanced sheet. the enlarged bank will have ample opportunities for more acquisition. CIMB is down but RHB is up. ?

CA pricing and the mother share works differently. CA buyers look at the potential in future capital growth ( not necessary using the mother earnings as the basis. which is why always challenging to work on warrant using the standard calculations ( plus the conversion ). happy trading

everybody know of somebody son(s) or daughter(s) either migrated or is working abroad leaving behind their aged parents or young one(s). this is a common scenario in our society. where everybody is looking for better prospect or better career advancement. the question is ??? our country blessed with abundance of resources but the people ( especially the non malays ) are forced to seek better pasture in other countries.

Mr Koon - Nice of you to highlight the inherent danger of investing (based on blind faith) . i believed most of the readers browsing your blog has their own ideas (what to invest) Nonetheless it's always good to have a second opinion

it can happen or it may not happen. bonus issue is not the key. the key is inari (company itself ). bonus (free shares split ) is secondary. buyers invest in the company. looking at its fundamentals.

Mr. Boon agreed with U on the points highlighted. nonetheless investors need to know the background of the company " caveat emptor " happy trading

Mr Boon comments on ILB is logical to ask. to address the bottom line. lots of listed companies have boring business set up. not every company is a +A listed name of our local exchange.
the smaller co's (exclude from the FBMT 100 ) are mostly the struggling ones. hopefully we can ride on something big if ILB is a target of another Company aiming for a reverse takeover. look at Focal (now renamed as Ecoworld)
with a clean balanced sheet and a healthy bank balance. if i have big ambitions i will target this sort of small cap with shares holder spreads among the few big core owners. this is part of the reason the directors are buying in the open market ( not for the co's )but for their own account to mop up any excess shares available.
the directors will be notified by their company secretaries of any changes & new registration of shareholders. happy trading & have a profitable day

we need to be mindful of we write and what we talk. Tun Ismail (the late ) once said there is no absolute democracy but controlled democracy (to suit the powers to be ). Thailand is good example ( where over politicking )led to martial law.
Malaysian ( Chinese , Malays or Indians ) need to careful with their words. it can come back & haunt (you)in an unexpected manner. just be logical and argue with facts. the truth will always prevails.

Tunku Aziz as an elderly person has his right to said his personal opinion. nonetheless, the younger generations ( 30's or 20's ) will not have any sleepless nights on whatever things he opined.
power corrupts (well without any position or authority) TI is just one of many NGO's in the country. Tunku Aziz being the elderly ( cannot stomach) the politics (of being in the opposition)
as an opposition groupings. you are shunned in alot areas compared in the government. i have always believed in whatever things we do ( do it with sincerity ) if you are unhappy and believed you cannot change ( just leave without the need to bad mouth anything)
Lim Chong Eu despite his fall outs with his political rivals at UDP, GRM, MCA or even DAP ( in Penang ) never bad mouth this people.

I agreed with Mr Koon assessment that PR (DAP) has an edge over the BN ( GRM) candidate. However, the voters turn out will be the deciding factor. Both PR and BN has their core supporters.
With the Hudad law proposal hanging over the PR coalition. DAP may be hurt by the current sentiment. assuming 20% lower turn out by the voters ( either thru work commitments or disillusion by the PAS proposal.
a simple calculations means - 20% ( non malay support ) and assuming fielding a malay candidate may attract Malay support of + 5% to the DAP candidate. This means simple calculations shows - 15% votes for the DAP .
whereas the BN ( Mah ) support base may not varies much as most of the 20% non Malays vote is not going to the BN. the 5 % swing in the Malay vote may not translate into actual votes loss.
The UMNO ( BN Machinery ) is still very strong in their rural kampong base not forgeting the Perak MB comes from UMNO. most of their core (UMNO) supporters are residents in the Teluk Intan area. as such DAP may not have it easy this time. A 10% swing will be tough to stomach.

ESOS must be paid by the staffs either on their own or thru share financing. You need to look at their vesting period and the exercise price against the market price
